| 2:44 pm | Service tasks [Locked to Est members] If you're into service - what kind of tasks do you like to set/have set for you? (I want to ask doms and subs.) I just saw something that split them into groups: - Chores: Housework, picking up the dry cleaning, etc. - Sub improvement: Go to the gym, learn a language, things that alter the sub. - Devotions: Things that are strictly about the dom/domme, like taking pictures for them. - Because I Said So: Completely pointless things done because the dom/domme wants them done. I would add: - Sexual service: Any kind of sex where it's exactly what/how they want, because they want it. Which of these do you do? Why? Any other types missing from the list? |

Daniel not noticing women's clothes has been noticed to the point where he's at least a little more aware now. But he's still surprised at himself when a flash of purple in a shop window catches his eye. He almost carries on walking, but... Vanessa is going to be at the studio until whenever she's done, there isn't actually any reason to rush home, and he finds himself going in. A little while and a very helpful saleswoman later he has another bag to go with the clothes he's bought himself, and when he gets home he puts it on the sofa beside the magazine Vanessa was reading this morning. He scribbles a quick note on the tag then goes to put away the rest of his shopping. Vanessa, Thought this would look good on you. Love, Daniel. |

Backdated: July 15, 2012.] ( Sitting at the kitchen table, Vanessa fleshes out the shopping list, plucked from its spot on the fridge door. Some of the existing items are in her handwriting; some are in Daniel's, and it makes her smile. They'd gotten into the so-domestic habit sharing Daniel's L.A. apartment and it's carried over into the house in Hidden Hills that Vanessa bought in April. Close enough to the city to be convenient for work but far enough away to be smack dab in the middle of Southern California horse country – Vanessa loves it. She loves it even more because Daniel had so easily said yes when she'd asked him to move in with her, at least in America. | 11:01 am | Social media and you - or not. [Locked to Est members] Obviously if you're reading this then you do some but do you do "standard" social media like Facebook/Twitter? If you do, do you do private stuff or public? How much do you interact with people? Back when Dissociatives were on tour (long enough ago that this was on MySpace) I would steal Paul's keyboard and write my own bits in the middle of his posts but I've never actually done my own. Honestly I find the whole thing kind of freaky - it's like inviting a million people into your living room, makes me feel very uncomfortable. I'm just not good at that side of things. |

| 8:54 pm | Travel/living arrangements and things. [Locked to Est Members] Short version: Do dom/sub stuff in your relationships affect how you work out things like travelling and living arrangements? Longer version: My brother brought up that I travel a lot to my girlfriend's schedule. We're from different parts of Australia, she performs in LA too, and because right now I don't have any work commitments that need me to be in a certain place I can go with her for most things - it works out really well. And Heath knows I'm kinky... so he asked if this was because she's my domme. (Sometimes I wonder why I ever told him about this stuff, then I remember - surfing. Easier to tell him the truth than try and hide/work around bruises and cane marks.) If it was something to do with her "telling [me] what to do." Which for me it isn't - it's a "relationship thing" not a "kinky relationship thing", I have the chance to go with her so I do. But I ended up wondering if it did work that way for some people. If you have a dom and they work away, do they make the arrangements about what you do? If you have a sub, flip that round, do you arrange what they do? |
