10:11pm: ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!
A note to the writers/makers of certain TV series.

STOP IT!!!!

ETA: No spoilers, but it's damn annoying to discover when you're halfway through a fic that certain bits crucial to the plot that you remember as being part of that particular time period (and have had a certain amount of difficulty explaining to your slightly younger co-writer that yes, it really did work that way in an above-the-board manner) that the writers of the original series have started using same bits in their story.

Throw in the activity that someone in another TV show was filmed doing this weekend, and you have two writers screaming at the TV.

Still, at least I know exactly how Life on Mars will end now.

9:47pm: Things one does not need to see...
Turn on the TV and watch footage of Richard Hammond flying a model airplane.

This will make absolutely no sense to anyone except m31andy and I will have fled the country and changed my identity and had lots of plastic surgery before the rest of you find out.

Also, I am *very* annoyed that Simon Pegg was on Top Gear and did not mention zombies *once*.

1:00am: Ack!
My deepest apologies to JC, JM and the mutt. I thought I'd be in from 9pm or so tonight, and instead I was forced, forced I tell you!, to continue out with mates.

And unfortunately tomorrow I'm taking part in what would resemble the public transport section of a TG race, but fortunately I don't have an eight-foot gorilla chasing me down in a supercar yelling "POWAAAAHHHH!" and I won't be back until Saturday night, so do horrible things to the poor benighted zombie who just wants some affection, and ignore my absence. (Although I can guarantee that RH making the whitening statement will definitely result in PM's disintegration, so it's a good opportunity to see how much he loves you.)

For everyone who doesn't have a clue what I'm going on about, trust me. Be grateful you don't know.

(Harry gets together with Draco is *not* plausible because it's a kids' book - Dumbledore has a dozen kids who are all Squibs is plausible.)

It's 24 hours to save Zion. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

1:16am: Am watching the Matrix...
Have had a revelation.

Neo is the One That You Want (ooh ooh baby!). The whole film is about people who want to screw him. Trinity and Morpheus obviously have a deal that first in the sack with him wins. Agent Smith is bitter and twisted that his programming only allows him to wear dorky suits that mean he'll never pull.

Cypher goes bad because he knows he doesn't have a chance among the other competition on the Nebuchanezzedar, Tank knows that he'll get a go eventually for the sheer curiosity value of not having a network port hardwired into his brain and the Oracle is just shamelessly trying to win him over with cookies.

Now have to go and see the Matrix Reloaded this weekend if we can manage it.
