if you see something reflected in enough eyes it becomes time to own it, let it within us, and come to terms with what it means about who we are and how we are seen.

Well, sometimes it just means that lots and lots of people can be hilariously wrong about who we are and that their views make horrible identity building material and need to be rejected. :P How often that happens might depend on how much you give other people to work with, though.

But that was a good read, thank you.

Hee hee, true, sometimes people can be hilariously wrong, but when it's a bunch of people from lots of places it becomes harder to ignore.

Like, even when I try to be mysterious intellectual chick, I end up having people offering me rainbow and sparkles - and at a certain point I have to accept I'm the rainbowy sparkles kinda person, and darkly mysterious just isn't going to fly.
