One click, and the computer runs better ... Well would you look at that ... 90+ tabs open in a
Javascript-disabled browser, 5 more tabs open in a
different browser with Javascript enabled, Audacity,
GIMP, and Quicktime all open (along with several
Terminal windows, of course (but you guessed that because
it's me)). CPU load at 100%, machine running hot, UI
sluggish ...
Click the "print" button on one
New York Times page to switch from the normal view
to a see-all-the-text-better view, and the CPU load
immediately drops to 25%.
Huh. Guess I'd better open NYT links in the no-Javascript
browser from now on, huh? (And give up on IO9 completely,
since that won't even load without Javascript, and
I already knew opening a single IO9 page required my computer's
full attention.)
Since I had GIMP running, here are a couple of recent
pics to make up for making you read more JS-bloat griping:
(I won't be at Balticon tonight. I will be there Monday.
I will probably also be there at least one of the other two
days.)
