Re: Wolvie. What woman? Storm?
Dammit, Sep. You're going to out me as a freakish fangirl.
It depends on whether we're talking comics or movies here. Comics? Poor dead Silver Fox. :( Movies? He should be getting it on with Rogue.
...what?! I HAVE A MAY/DECEMBER FETISH, ALRIGHT?
Yeah, INORITE? Why do you think I made an oblique, clever reference to my insanity instead of spelling it out? :(
I am a monster for dragging it out of you :(
Yeah, not really. I used my real name in the fandom.
What a n00b move. :(
I feel like a terrible nerd for not being able to remember Silver Fox, either. The Storm thing was a bit from the eighties, during the Inferno storyline, Wolverine and Storm made out in a storm.
Silver Fox was in Weapon X, and she and Wolvie were in luuuuurve. Then Sabretooth killed her* because she wouldn't fuck him.
(* she was, you know, as dead as anyone gets in the Marvel universe)
IT'S NOT LIKE I USED TO OWN WOLVERINEANDROGUE.COM OR ANYTHING
I DON'T REALLY KEEP NOTES ON PEOPLE. I cheat and use Avocado. And Mindset.
NO NO I WAS SARCASTICALLY DENYING IT, NOT SARCASTICALLY INQUIRING AS TO WHY YOU DID NOT KNOW.
*falls into the sarchasm and dies*
I have shame, Sep. Deep, deep shame.
I was a crazy shipper.
I used to refuse to read any fic that wasn't Gambit/Rogue. And then Gambit/Iceman.
As an aside, if they'd ever managed to get the guy who plays Sawyer from LOST to portray Gambit in any of the movies, I'd have abandoned my 'ship in favor of some AWESOMELY HOT Gambit/Rogue action.
But he's old! Gambit's the same age as Rogue!
I remember in a letter column where someone asked their ages that they were late teens-early twenties.
Oh, bb, all bets are off when it comes to the movie shit. Hell, they're sticking Gambit in Weapon X in the upcoming Wolverine movie, which takes place 15 years before the first X-Men flick. As a project member, too, not a...I dunno, wayward toddler?
So...yeah, he's too fucking old for Rogue, too, in the movieverse. LOL
Yeah, I'm not kidding. They put GAMBIT in Weapon X.
I'm just not sure about this movie. On the one hand, ZOMG, Liev Schrieber as Sabretooth? Sign me up. And Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? SIGN ME UP A LOT. But...WTF IS GAMBIT DOING THERE?! >: (
Angry nerd is angry.
THIS DOES NOT COMPUTE.
i'm still wondering if it counts as canon that gambit is sinister and cyclops' kid because that was part of an alternate future.
I know one of the alternate universe thingies had Gambit heading up a squad of Weapon X'ers, but for serious, man. They have done some crazy shit in those lines. So I don't know what they're smokin'.
I'll see it, but I'll be more focused on Watchmen. Jeffrey Dean Morgan with a flamethrower? KILL ME NOW.
the comedian scares me :( He's rapey.
Yes. Yes, he is. And watching that will make my face sad. :( But I wonder what it says about me that something like that bothers me worse than, you know, him setting a bunch of Vietcong ON FIRE.
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT.
Yeah, Eddie Blake is not a nice guy.
Apparently, they haven't prettied up ANY of his terrible shit for the movie. Which doesn't bode well for me, because that means half the time I'll be horrified, and the other half I'll be forgetting to breathe because of the HAWT. :(
IT'S ALL OKAY, THOUGH, BECAUSE
RYAN REYNOLD'S DEADPOOL'S COSTUME HAS NO SLEEVES.
Gambit/Iceman was my first slash ship.
I'm pretty sure I shipped Gambit with everyone at some point.
... I was 20?
DONNA WAS OLDER!
2) John Winchester. ZOMG, the things I would do to that guy. I would even help him fight demons and vampires and shit. But, alas, he's a rambling man. (I'd still do him a lot, though.)
I love him in ways that aren't healthy. LOL I really, really do. His sons are kinda whiny, but DAMN. He knew how to be a man.
WAIT WAIT WAIT.
I just remembered.
I stopped watching ER when it became an hilarious parody of itself, but I just saw a preview for the new, and last season.
AND GUESS WHO'S COMING BACK.
NO. YOU'RE PLAYING WITH ME.
*squeals and runs off to die*
...oh, Dr. Carter. <3
