Disclaimer: One Piece is not mine. Possible spoilers for Alabasta, so I'm tossing it behind a cut as a just in case.
Notes: Yeah, I dunno where this came from. It's been running around in my head for a couple weeks though, so I figure it's time to get it out so I can work on other things.
It felt like Alabasta once the Going Merry had sailed into the island's climate zone, warm and dry but with the sea lending a moisture to the air that it hadn't had inland for several years. And it looked like Alabasta once she could actually see the island itself. The buildings looked similar to those she had seen as a child, and the desert backdrop beyond was certainly familiar enough. But for Vivi, Alabasta didn't really become her home again until the rain fell from the sky and the rebellion ended more suddenly than it had begun.
