It's been a bit since I've done this with anything I've been watching for the first time (read: since the last time I watched an episode of Avatar when it first aired, and we don't count the season finale for that...), so I figure I'm just gonna kinda react at things as I watch Akihabara@DEEP because sometimes I notice things while I'm watching stuff and I like writing it down somewhere.

I like the quasi-cell phone of the music at the beginning (and that keeps turning up off and on through the episode). I know I know what that piece is, too, but I can't think of the title off the top of my head.

Daruma's cosplay in the introduction: Cyborg 009. I think...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm amazed Akira put up with the babbling boys as much as she did. Admittedly, I don't know much about her character yet, but she did seem like she wouldn't have put up with that stuff much.

*snickers at Box's role in the chase scene, or rather the amusing ways he runs*

...Flailing your hands will not prevent panty shots from being taken. Good try, though...

I'm only 13 minutes into the episode, and already I think Page is utterly adorable. The glasses, and the way Page perpetually ducks his head and the "flail flail typing into the voice program*...utterly adorable. Using his computer to speak makes sense given his stutter.

Yui interests me because I'm not sure if there's a person behind the site or if I think there's an AI...Ah well, holding off judging until I get further into the series. *keeps watching* Okay, so there is a person...not that I really know what she's up to or anything.

*snickers* I love how the boys are so uncertain of what to do when Akira leaves the restaurant once China calls.

The brief moment of AWKWARD following the gleeful celebration once they scare the gang off amuses me.

The vaguely creepy president behind the otaku hunts? Seems to have a bit of an oral fixation, what with all the lollipops. And he even uses a big one to beat up his subordinate...Also, what the heck is with his laugh?

Ooo, yay for voice program upgrade (even if it doesn't get used in the episode itself for a bit)!

I get the feeling the boys don't want to get their asses kicked by Akira. Hence the fleeing from the mop when she's cleaning up.

...Box, Taiko? What the heck are you doing? And, really, the guys fail at hiding. Oh, and hey, random Star Wars poster in the background.

Taiko: freezing at random points for humor value?

...I am mightily impressed with how fast folks found the website. There must have been lead-up links or something, in order for the counter to start rising that fast. Maybe some conveniently timed Google searches?

*joins Box in not recognizing the cosplay to the point that she asked the question right before he did*

The capped fanboys: now serving as useful plot devices.

I'm still not recognizing most of Daruma's costumes, but I'm pretty sure Akira was dressed as Bridget from Guilty Gear for a bit there.

So the sorta creepy vice president is as much an otaku as the members of Akihabara@DEEP members. He's just got the lollipops and his collection of large models (I know I spotted some sort of Gundam thing, and then Kaneda's bike...).

Now, maybe I'm already not remembering properly, but I have a feeling creepy president has an idea that Akihabara@DEEP interfered with his little gang operation. And if he doesn't, then he's going to be keeping an eye out for them from now on.

Clearly Izm and Yui-san are just too quiet to be noticed by the somewhat rambunctious members of Akihabara@DEEP. And, uh, while I was getting some odd Yukimura-vibes off Yui-san before she actually met the group, the whole fainting thing IS NOT HELPING.

I'm enjoying watching it, so this gives me something fun and new to watch. Also, I have a habit of liking nerd types, and this show is just hitting that so nicely.
