Drew Fuller and Kevin Zegers [info]ziggy: Still in Paris
[Happens after Drew proposes to Kevin]

Rubbing his eyes, Kevin smiles as the room service waiter leaves with a murmured thank you for the tip. He lifts a lid and groans. "Man, look at the crepes."

Drew stretches, yawning loud, long arms in the air. "Did they give us extra whipped cream?" He grins, feeling his body settle.

"Um," Kevin looks and grins. "Oh man yeah, and some of that whipped honey for the toast."

"Cool. Bring it over here then," Drew grins, quirking a finger at Kevin, "so we can have breakfast in bed."

Wheeling the cart over, Kevin climbs on the bed. "Yum, want me to feed you?" He grins.

"If I let you will you promise to keep the honey on the toast and not on me--or you." Drew laughs, tugging Kevin closer and kissing him soundly.

"Spoil sport," Kevin says and tsks, smiling. "M'kay, coffee first." He fixes Drew's coffee and hands it to the man before cutting a bite of crepe.

With a smile, Drew takes the coffee and sips, then leans in close and kisses Kevin's cheek. "I can live like this everyday - just like this." He picks up a very red and succulent looking strawberry from the fruit bowl and offers it to Kevin.

"Mmhmm," Kevin bites and snugs close. "This has been great - being here with you."

"Yeah it has been... Even if you did turn down my proposal..." Drew is trying hard to suppress the grin.

"Hell yeah," Kevin rolls his eyes and picks up a sausage. "Mmm."

"Well you didn't have to sound too happy about that you know?" Drew mock scowls, grabbing Kevin's wrist and takes a bite of the sausage in his lover's hand.

"Hey, mine," Kevin laughs and then holds out the sausage again. "It just seems like a cliché, kind of, you know?"

Drew sets his coffee back on the tray before shifting to face Kevin, fingers still wrapped around his wrist and then he offers the morsel to Kevin instead. "In my head I know you're right but even some small part of me is having a hard time totally getting over the fact that you said no." He smiles softly, "Just a very, very small part." Yeah, it's right there next to 'Will he leave me soon?' part.

"I didn't say no to you." Kevin takes the bite and chews, making a happy noise. "Mmm, good."

"Okay fine. You didn't say no to me just at the marriage thing. I get that - but you still said no." Drew counters, reaching for his coffee cup again.

"Yeah well," Kevin says and picks up a piece of toast. "You know I love you, right?"

"Yes, I know," He sips his coffee, quietly regarding Kevin.

"We're always going to have this between us, aren't we?" Kevin asks softly, not looking at Drew.

He sighs, setting his cup down yet again and he gathers Kevin close, lifting up his chin. "I told you - it's a very, very small part. It's there, yeah, but I don't see it as something that big to let loom over the both of us."

Kevin nods, looking into Drew's eyes. "I have to believe you, trust you."

"I love you. Believe in that. Trust that." Tapping a finger over Kevin's heart, Drew looks in his eyes and he smiles sweetly, leaning over and then he kisses Kevin with all the sincerity in his heart.

Touching Drew's face, holding him as he's kissed, Kevin finally pulls back and smiles. "I love you too and if I was ever going to throw my principles out the door and marry anyone - it would be you."

"I know," Drew holds him close, face nuzzling Kevin's hair as he whispers very quietly, "Just - don't ever leave me... Please..."

Kevin checks the sigh that wants to come, instead shaking his head and hugging Drew tight. "Never, never ever. I'll be with you always."

Drew holds Kevin tighter, tears welling in his eyes and he bites his quivering bottom lip to stop the emotions from spilling out. Trusting Kevin took some time but he knows he does, it's just the occasional bout of his insecurities that he has a hard time dealing with. Drew takes a breath, nodding slowly, lips touching, lingering right at Kevin's temple. "Always." And Drew believes him.
