Thanks to this thread, I'm terrified to meet my college roommate tomorrow. Because of it, I'm sure to say something stupid like, "Thank God, I thought you'd have fleas."

*blinks* Since I'm fairly sure [info]cleolinda and I were going to the same school until I graduated last year, I am now a little concerned.

Granted, I have never gotten near any of the dorms, so maybe I'm safe. :D

Everyone's telling horror stories or giving "learn to co-exist with your roommate and you're fine" advice. It's definitely not helpful, since, you know, I'm a nerd and I've never had a roommate before.

My mom's advice is, "Push yourself to be more social and stop sounding like an encyclopedia." Sad! I thought a vast repository of knowledge about Western history was one of my more charming attributes. I tell killer jokes about Christianizing the Vikings.

This is what happens when I get jittery. I just make a lot of jokes.

Ahhh, I am anti-social in the EXTREME and a very big nerd, and I never had a lot of trouble with roommies. I mean, it's never perfect, but as is obvious from that post, the bad parts just become stories you retell with GLEE.

I'm not sure if that helps, but personally, I consider vast knowledge about any part of history a very charming attribute.

Knowing about the Defenestration of Prague just forms such a special bond.

Well, those are all kind of unusual cases. I just moved in with two complete strangers and we all get along just fine.
