[FIC] Kingdom Hearts
Title: N/A
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Pairing: N/A (Axel and Namine)
Rating: G
Word Count: 309 words

"Hey, pretty."

The low, amused voice jerked Namine from her concentration on the sketchpad in front of her. "Axel," she said carefully. Truth be told, she sort of liked the flame-haired Nobody, but it wouldn't do for Marluxia to learn that.

Axel crossed the featureless room to stand behind her chair, peering over her shoulder at her current drawing. "Whoa," he said, sounding impressed. "How do you do that? It's like you get better every time I see you."

She blushed, fighting the urge to hide the sketch from view. "...it's not finished yet."

"Yeah, but it's still good." A leather-clad hand reached down over her shoulder to brush a bit of eraser debris from the page. "That the kid everyone's making such a fuss about?"

"Sora. Yes," Namine said softly, a faint smile playing across her face.

"Huh. Weird."

"What's weird?"

"He doesn't look anything like Roxas." Axel paused when Namine's head snapped up, her eyes wide. "...what?"

"You know Roxas?"

He nodded, coming around from behind the chair to kneel next to her side. "Yeah. He's my best friend. What's up?"

She shook her head, looking away. "I... n-nothing. I'd just like to meet him."

A warm hand titled her chin back to so that she was staring into impossibly green eyes gone calculating. "The people you used to be knew each other, didn't they? Don't know how I feel about that." He shrugged the look away, though, and stood. "Yeah, sure. Why not. I'll bring him with me one day. In the mean time, though, I've got a job to do. Have fun." Axel flashed her a grin, pulling a thin package out of his pocket and tossing it to her before disappearing into the darkness.

Namine carefully unwrapped the package, a small sound of delight escaping her at the new set of colored pencils inside.
