Pairing: Ginshu/Hiwa
Rating: PG
Word Count: 381 words

Hiwa came sputtering to the surface of the water, angrily brushing wet hair out of his eyes. "What was that for?!" he demanded.

"Oops," Ginshu said, hiding his smile behind his sleeve. "I didn't realize the rocks were going to be that slippery." He carefully rolled up his sleeves, then his pant legs, stepping out of his sandals and picking his way carefully across the smooth, flat rocks lining the shore of the lake. The water lapped at his ankles, reflecting his gaze as he stared curiously down at the tiny, silvery fish that flitted away as he approached.

"Then don't push people!" Hiwa snapped, trying in vain to wring out his shirt without poking a hole in it with his claws. The muscles in his back tensed, trying to fluff his feathers and shake out the drops of water from his wings, never mind the fact that he hadn't had them for months. Giving up on the shirt, he flung it in Ginshu's direction instead.

It hit the other boy right in the face with a wet smack. Ginshu gave a girly shriek, and tossed the offending garment back onto the shore. "I only pushed you because you said you were going to bite me!" he huffed, wiping water from his cheeks.

"...oh. Yeah." Hiwa found himself hard-pressed to argue with that. To cover up his discomfort, he kicked at a pile of sand by his feet. It flew up and swirled in the water.

"So, I don't think-- kyaa!" Ginshu yelped, loosing his balance on the rock he had been balancing on. Without really thinking, Hiwa jumped forward and grabbed him, splashing backwards into the shallows of the lake with the other boy in his arms. If he hadn't already been soaked, he would have been now, with water all around him and a sharp rock digging into his back. The water was cold, but Ginshu was a warm weight on top of him. Ginshu, when he picked his head up from Hiwa's shoulder, smiled at him. "... thank you," he murmured. His face was uncomfortably close, and his lips were soft when he brushed them over Hiwa's.

Hiwa squeaked, his face going red. He hesitated, then quickly pressed his lips to Ginshu's. Then he threw him into the lake.
