The irony of Ataniell deciding that people who have problems with a canon she doesn't have problems with really should get the fuck out of the fandom, but that that is TOTALLY different than her participation in HP fandom, is kind of epic.

I did eventually get to there and I think it's interesting that she mentions she never sees anyone for example compare the death/rebirth of fictional characters to that of mythological figures, because that's exactly the sort of thing I got skewered for doing in Sailor Moon (where I turned out to be totally right), Utena (jury's still out on that one) and Harry Potter fandoms (where I turned out to be wrong, but is it my fault I'm more imaginative than JKR is in some ways lol?)

Yes, yes, Ataniell, we know: you're a MUCH better fan than the Rest Of Us Schmucks and you're 100% a better writer than JKR. We KNOW.

(also, I'm seriously curious about her master's thesis. I wanna know if she had actual sources or just made the whole thing up out of her ass)
