I've been checking the forecast every day - the latest now says that we will get up to 35°C here on Thursday, which will feel like 38°. It almost never gets hotter than 30° here, and 35°... I don't know if it's ever been that hot before. I actually started to play with the thought to just get up very early, hop into a train and take it straight up to the coast, to spend the day bathing in the ocean. It's been years now since I last was at the ocean...

Of course, then I checked the tide calendar and saw that I would have only about two hours for bathing, and if I took a ferry out to one of the islands, like Norderney, the trip would take so long that I'd have 10 hours of traveling altogether for 3 hours on the island. *sigh*

My sister got some police action for Thursday right the minute I texted her to ask if she'd like to go to the lake, which just shows that I am bad luck, and my brother a date with his dentist. And of course, it will get colder again after Thursday...

But maybe there will just be another hot day or two this year, and I could go to the coast and spend a night on Borkum or Langeoog.

Anyway, enough whining about the weather - what I actually wanted to do was to squee about my incredible luck at AiA for which I received the BESTEST STORY EVAR OMG! 22000 words of absolutely riveting Legolas/Gorfindel, which was all the things I love love love and is really about Legolas coming into his own. The way he grows is just lovely, as is his voice. ♥
