I did a trip to the library today to pick up copies I had ordered - almost crashed into another car on the way back, lol. We must be on our 11th or 12th day of snow now, and I have just looked at the 16-day forecast, which says that temperatures will stay below 0°C for all that time. Fun. Daisy didn't hit us as hard this weekend as was feared, though. It was the first time I ever saw a lilac spot move towards me on the weather radar (lilac being the highest warning level), and the first time I heard the government agency responsible for catastrophies encourage people to buy hoarding stashes of groceries, candles and similar things.
Of course, in the end we only got snow, and the storm passed us by to do its worst 200km up north, where villages were cut off, a highway was impassible and dikes threatened to burst. Still, with the snow from the weekend in addition to the 30cm we had before, driving is no fun at all. I'm glad I'm back with my essay copies. The icile in front of the window seems to have grown 1m over night, too... I have been taking a picture every other day; if this weather really continues for at least another 16 days, I could make a stop-motion animation in the end. *g*
I just realized that in about one month, at last the final season of Lost will start. And then I found this on Youtube, which actually manages to condense the entire seasons 1-5 into 8:15 minutes. I LOVE this show! And as much as I want to see the mysteries behind it all, I really don't want it to end. :(
