The poor kitty had her last visit to the vet today - it was such a fight to get her into the carrier that I hope that we won't have to go back anytime soon. Especially as she is quite suspicious of me now and always makes sure that she has a way of escape open to her. But hopefully she'll have forgotten all about it in a few hours.

What an annoying day - I wanted to write and didn't. Then I decided that what this day really needs is some pr0n. Luckily, I still had two Poser renders waiting to be fixed in Photoshop, so I had fun with that instead. I found some Photoshop bdsm layers some time ago, and I made good use of that and can now present you punished!Legolas. *g* It was a really quick render because I just wanted to have a picture to try those caning/whipping/spanking layers on... ;)

I signed up for slashy_santa again, because I'm stupid a deadline so soon after yuletide is exactly what I need, right?

And I haven't even started on my yuletide fic yet - only 15 days left! At least I have finished re-reading my assigned fandom's source material yesterday, and once the big cup of coffee I'm drinking succeeds in waking me up, I'll try and get started on it.

St. Nicholas didn't come and visit me tonight... but at least my delicious Lindt advent calender had a chocolate Nicholas behind today's door, so I can bite off his head as punishment. I also have a little St. Nicholas' gift for you: More Legolas porn!

Back from the dentist, with the root canal treatment finished at last. It took another half hour with my mouth wide open, but it was not as uncomfortable as the last time. He took another x-ray at the end and seemed very happy with it, and from my layman's understanding the tooth looked very well filled on the x-ray, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will keep quiet from now on. And because my dentist loves me so much and can't bear to part with me for long, I got ordered to make another appointment in February, but only for some cleaning.

I'm so glad to have this over with at last. :) To distract myself I spent yesterday evening doing yet another Poser picture. It worked pretty well as distraction, but then, Legolas always does... ;)

I wrote 1000 words today, which is something at least. But I also spent the last few hours fiddling with Poser, and now have a picture I'm very proud of - which I'm not going to show here, as I have plans for my Christmas cards this year. ;)

With that I've completed the first set of Photoshop lessons and can now do the second set - which I've seen does indeed encompass prettying up rendered Poser hair, exactly what I wanted to learn to do! :)

I've also ordered a graphics tablet now, which might even arrive today - a very cheap and simple one to play around with a bit, but I'm sure it will be useful, especially for things like hair.

Is anyone else getting all excited for yuletide already? Just thinking of it makes me want to bounce - I'll probably end up requesting my usual favourites, but as those never get fic written for them apart from yuletide I don't care if that makes me predictable. Something I'd love to request would be fic for Tonke Dragt's De brief voor de koning/Der Brief für den König, but unfortunately that book's never been translated to English. I don't know why, as I think it's the most famous YA novel in the Netherlands, and my most beloved book as a child. I must have read it more than 30 times, and then I gave it and its sequel to my brother and got him just as addicted to books as I am. They even made a movie of it this year, which might get shown in the US as The Letter for the King. I dragged my brother to the cinema to see it - unfortunately it wasn't that good. Still, it makes me hope that one day there'll be fic for Der Brief für den König and Der Wilde Wald... *sigh*

At the forum where I'm doing the Poser lessons, I've also signed up for Photoshop lessons now, as it will be nice to do some postwork on my Poser pictures in PS.

Here are two pictures I've done in Photoshop. I'm especially proud of the latter, as I've started those lessons three days ago, had never touched the program before, and already I can paint a complete Bob Ross landscape like that - it's so amazing and addictive!

At long last I've spent more time with Poser. This is the picture with which I finished the second course:

Now I get to do the master lessons, where at last I will learn to make textures of my own, yay!

Anyway, after fiddling with all those unicorns I was in mind for something easy - a nude Legolas picture sounded like it would be quick to render. Of course in the end I spent just as much time on it as it took me to get the unicorn picture right. I think this could be called "Showing off for his Lord". ( Not safe for work! )

I really like the look I've come up with for him now. No wonder Glorfindel had to keep him! I wonder if I can find nipple rings somewhere in the depths of my runtime folders... ;)
