I watched West Side Story on the wonderful big screen, HD, TV yesterday. It led me to many conclusions

• Jerome Robbins was an amazing choreographer. He mad men dance like men!


• And on the subject of dancing.. all the actors in the movie dance... so they wear dance belts and tight jeans... The HD makes their packages look positively 3D!


• Rita Moreno is AMAZING!


• I REALLY want to choreograph a ballet to the orchestral score


• And lastly, a question. If we put it on Broadway right now.. who should be in it?

Tobey left early this morning, leaving a sleeping Ethan to hog the bed. He gets up, taking a moment to sit on the edge of the bed. His back and neck are so stiff that he can't move his head to check the time. Standing sends a series of cracks echoing around the room.

It's going to be one of those days. The days where Ethan moves slow, awkwardly and painfully until all the kinks are worked out. These days he perfers to be alone. The only looks of worry are his own.

This show never ceases to amaze me. I remember being that young and excited.

I am intrigued by the boys this year, especially the contemporary dancers. Their technique astounds me, but Nigel is right. His grandmother is more 'gangsta' than these guys.

I think I may use my connection to get some contact info. I have choreography that needs to get put on some talented bodies.

Anyways, Wednesday nights... my house... I'll have the popcorn.

How's the tour going?

I was wondering if maybe we can all meet up? I'm desperately missing the both of you. And I know Tobey is too.

Hopefully we'll be near a spa town when we meet up. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling my age, and I could use a spa day.

[yeah, this is WAY old.]

( Ethan lays out some snacks. The gifts are under the tree. Jinx is behaving. Ethan can hardly stand it. Adam's home. With Jared. All seems t be right with the world. )

It's a saturday morning. Ethan has frosting and cake mix. The world's worst cook is going to make himself birthday cake.

Unfortuantely, he's in the middle of moring bar when the smoke alarm goes off.

His birthday cake.... is smoldering and black.

"I didn't think I was in hte studio for THAT long"

Ehtan laughs. Jinx sniffs hte cake and turns up his nose. Maybe Tobey can get him a proper cake later.

( Ethan has watched the Spiderman 3 trailer a million times by by now. One part has stuck with him. A beautiful shot of Peter Parker being enveloped in black... stuff. Man, it looks like liquid Latex. It gives Ethan ideas and a reason to visit the establishment. )

( Ethan has been looking forward to this for a while now. He doesn't get a chance to play as often as he did when he was younger. All of two years ago. Henry needed someone that liked public scenes. That is Ethan to a t. Ethan heads to the club, looking for Henry. He's hoping that Tobey will stop by too. He will love this. )

( Ethan sped home from ballet. After a speedy shower, he sets out to tidy the house in anticipation of their guest. )

( Ethan needs to leave the house. He grabs is phone and his keys and takes off on his bike. Eventually he ends up at a Starbucks. There's one everywhere! It's only after he's settled down with a Chai Latte, that he decides that he needs company and calls Adam )

Ethan stands in the doorway of the dance studio that Tobey had installed for him. It's been largely unused for a month. He used to work on his choreography every day. Lately it's all he can do to make it to class.

It's been like that in other areas. He's all but stopped asking for scenes. Past of him doesn't want to bother Tobey. His husband is busy with his career. Ethan hates to ask him for things.

Today, something hit him hard. It was a simple commercial, centered around an invisible housewife. That's what he is. Invisible. Ethan gave up his career to follow his heart. His heart found a home. A wonderful home and family.

Ethan's just afraid that he'll lose himself in the process. He knows he's well on his way there.
