Help from my Brit Flisters?
Question one:
Mr.P and I are gonna spend 12 lovely days in England and we will be in London over the New Year. I would like some information. I want to do the big fireworks "thing" whatever that may be. In San Francisco thousands of people gather at the waterfront to watch the fireworks over the bay. In New York, we all know, they have the ball drop in Times Square. What do they do in London? I have seen on tv that there are fireworks at the London Eye and over Big Ben. Do people gather for this? Where? Is it something you have to wait around in the cold for hours? If so, that's fine, we just want to know what to prepare for and where to wait. We want to "experience" New Year's Eve/New Year's Day celebration in London. What is typical? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Question two:
What's good on the West End? Any recommendations? We have Hamlet tickets, so we'll see that with or without Mr. Tennant, but we want to see a couple other shows so any input would be great.
A great big thank you for any information you can spare. And have a very merry holiday season!
