4Kids Killed Sonic! OMGS!! Frequent Reader, first time posting-Eh, let's screw the formalities on this one. We've gots mini-wank! So it may be known to some of the Sonic fans that SEGA has absolutely no taste in voice actors Well, apart from Drummond, SEGA never seemed to have good taste in VAs to begin with but I digress. This, of course, has enraged the Sonic FanboysTM a lot. This time however, they decided that action MUST be taken through petition, no less! Fact: People are losing their ONLY job to people who are active in eight ( or more ) projects at a time. Fact: The voice actors were replaced for almost a year without even given any notice. Fact: Ryan offered to voice Sonic in Sonic X. He offered to fly himself to New York, get his own place, pay for 100% of his expenses, everything two months before 4Kids started recording. They refused him. Fact: This is 100% Sega of America's doing. Japanese employees, such as Yuji Naka, have no part in this distasteful act. Speculation: Ryan not beig hired by 4Kids started this whole mess. Speculation: Everyone wanting Mike Pollock to do Robotnik's game voice started this whole mess. False: This doesn't effect the games in any way. False: The Sonic voice actors can just easily get new voice acting jobs. ( Don't laugh ) False: Everyone will buy the games regardless of who voice acts in them. False: There is nothing we can do. Look at cwoot widdle public service announcement! Isn't it just adorable? Okay, so there's a petition. So what else is new? Why artistic anti-corporation statements using dead anthropomorphic hedgehogs, that's what! That's strange, I thought he died in the 90's.
