I finally have my Learner's Permit for driving. Yaaaaay. Thankfully, the process was nice and painless. Managed to be in and out of the MVA in a little under an hour.

I tried to fit a nightstand/endtable into a spot in my room and it's just that teeny bit too wide to fit. Poot. Shall have to figure out what to move and how by much.

I'm back from Indiana. I did try to backtrack through my flist, but when I hit skip150, I said 'screw it' and gave up. I don't feel like trying to read/skim through however many posts.

So. Did I miss anything important? Aside from the tropical storm trying to drown the East Coast, I mean?

Just as a reminder, I'm going to be gone for about a week, starting tomorrow. I'll be in Indiana and away from the internet.

Also, my mother found what she did with my birth cert. Not that I really gave a good goddamn when she woke me at ten to tell me that, as I had set my alarm clock to wake me up at eleven. Also, I don't have time to spend three fucking hours taking the test for a learner's permit today. Not if I'm going to do the other shit she wants me to do and get stuff I need to do done.

Mom and I got our goal of filling twelve bags of leaves today. That takes care of half the backyard. Barely managed it though. Both because we hurt now and because it started raining when we were almost done with the last bag.

Anyway, I'm currently waiting for the painkillers to set in. Most of the pain is in my back although my knee briefly chimed in. @.@

Mom and I filled twelve bags of leaves in the front yard. It looks much better now. I think we'll be going for the same amount out back tomorrow. Provided it doesn't rain.

Yeah, I know. Not a very exciting day. But hey. At least it got me out of the house for a couple of hours.

Apparently, the boot up problems are due to old crap in the registry needing cleaning out. Dad said the program he used found (and presumably fixed) a little over a hundred errors. O_o.

Also, the yard has been mowed for the first time in ages since we finally have a working mower again. Yay.

More important news is that I'll be going to Indiana on Nov. 7th and will be gone for about a week. I think. I can't quite remember how long. Guess who gets to work on resetting her sleep schedule to 'normal' patterns? Ick. That'll be fun. I already know that I won't have internet access while I'm gone, so I'll be using the time to catch up on some of my massive backup of comics and not quite so bad book backlog. I'm going to Indiana partly to help Dad with some stuff and partly so I can have a chance to actually visit relatives.

The computer is currently having Issues. Of the kind where it boots up very slowly, so I've been told to not turn it off. Dad thinks that programs needs to be run to clear off crap to help it run faster. (I'd like to note that I don't think the hard drive is even halfway full.)

9:17PM - I Actually Left The House Today. Whoo.

Mom and I went to the comicbook store to get comics. They didn't have anything for her or Sarah, but they did have my stuff. Including a title I thought I cancelled having on my pull list last time. (It's off now.) I am now down to one Marvel title. In a sea of DC. And some of those titles will be going byebye soon because they're 3, 6, or 8 issue things.

Speaking of DC, saw a SUV with a license plate that said DC JOKER while we were on our way to PetsMart for kitty food, litter, etc. After that was Ruby Tuesday for supper, Mom looking for something in a crafts store--I stayed in the car with a book--, Giant, and now back home.

Went down to my sister's college to visit her. Going up and down, up and down, up and down, the stairs and hills certainly took it out of me. Eesh. @.@

Went to a Mexican restaurant called the Baja Bean. Food was good. ^_^
