LOL dumbass!
Hey, check out THIS dumbshit!

For the link-phobic: kid hands in his CIS homework on a CD, kid realizes that he just handed his professor his kiddie-porn collection, kid tries to get it back from professor and fails (both the course, and at life in general), kid becomes internet famous like whoa...

I can't help this nagging suspicion that this is all a hoax -- it's just too beautifully scripted to be real. But still, "LOL dumbass!"

(Hey, guys, whadaya think? Fandom Lounge material, or not?)

I'm rather suspicious of the fact that there's only one news article on the matter that ever gets linked - and it's a pretty fake-looking one too, honestly.

So it isn't just me, then. Good to know. (I've been keeping half an eye on snopes.com, just in case this shows up there.)

Just wandering through the FW flist...

Already been wanked, more or less. Also, not FLounge material in the slightest. :/ Random Lounge, if anything.

I am so behind on my reading...

(Reads the libertarian thread.)

Holy shit. Of all the people in libertarians, did it occur to none of them that this news article may not be on the level? I mean, come on! Every reference to that incident I've found leads back to the same page, and it isn't written up in any other news sources (I checked Yahoo News, among others). Further, I'm pretty sure that no real news outlet's Legal Department would allow them to go to press with a real street address, for fear that they'd get sued off the planet if some lunatic decided to go out for (molotov) cocktails! I mean, I'm not a lawyer or anything, but...

Fucking idiots, the lot of them. And the ones who are actually supporting this kid-who-may-or-may-not-exist? What are they, on drugs?

(Oh, and welcome to my journal. Normally, there isn't spooge on the ceiling. Make yourself at home, I'll just be going to get a mop.)

Hmm. A bit of research suggests an Erickson family does live at that address, and the reporter and college public safety officer both exist (you can even email them to check). I imagine one could find more info with a Lexis-Nexis account, or if one were willing to pay Intelius or similar.

As for the newspaper listing addresses - my local one does in its police blotter, so. It may be stupid, but it's not unknown.

Either way, I don't doubt it about the drugs. :)
