ngaio @ 1:34pm: Lists
Books read so far this year:

Conrad's Fate and The Dark Lord of Derkholm, both by Diana Wynne Jones

Things done today:

Tidied and organised my belly dancing clothing/costumes
... including putting aside what I'll need tomorrow when classes restart
Put together a simple make-up bag for my New Year's Resolution to get more comfortable with wearing make-up
Made leftovers from yesterday into a casserole/pie (currently cooking so this is a mixed result, it could taste disgusting)
Tidied some papers from the side
Hung my new necklaces (bought Friday) on the light switch ready to wear

Still to do:

Put all my clean clothes away (yeah, this one is pretty much a permanent To Do)
Refill the bird feeders (again!)
Answer a few LJ comments (seriously, only a few, I'm impressed with me so far at keeping up with these)
*In theory* I have one or two cook and freeze dishes to make, but I'm not sure I'll get them done today
Have a bath, shave relevant bits, and really deep condition my hair
Burn some CDs for Sprog
Update iTunes and Fox-the-iPod
Current Mood: good

ngaio @ 6:05pm: An actual post
To reward myself for getting my LJ comments down from 151 to 1 ([info]meko00 - one of yours, why do you make me think?! I'll gain a brain in the next few days and answer it.) I'm making an actual post not a Twitter post.

It's a photo post! )

What else have I been up to? Well I'm feeding the birds a lot, they're getting through two or three bird feeders' worth of seeds a day, I suppose because the ground is so frozen. I tidied a bunch of the front room. I managed six whole days without a period but now I ... really do need to make a doctors appointment.

We've moved offices at work (within the same building). Monday involved us shifting everything (cabinets, files, computers, dalek, clockwork man - OK, the last two were just me!). Tuesday involved getting all the folders and paperwork onto shelves. This was a procedure complicated by a few things: a) there were meant to be 20 network port set up because we need 17 and we'll be expanding again soon. There were only 16. We ... adapted. b) Monday our main program wasn't working (throughout the entire office/company), not a problem as we were moving but unfortunately it may or may not have led to Tuesday when none of the phones worked (this was *not* a hardship), they fixed the phones (apparently something blew up in Newcastle - [info]moonlettuce ... what were you up to on Monday night?!) and the secure server access to the government office we deal with died. We coped! And are all moved in. With the exception of Wizard (boss) who has five storage boxes of random paperwork/filing/egg cups/CDs/stuff to sort through and clear. Not gonna happen any when soon!

I've been working hard at Ikariam, who knew an online world building game could be so damn addictive. I have five colonies and only one still has corruption in it and I can't do anything about that until I've built up my Warehouse a lot. ... Look it's fun, OK?!

Tomorrow I need to cook gammon. I've never done that before. This could be interesting.
