11:13PM - Good God, three posts in one day?
And not saying a damn thing in any of them!
By way of
elaryn... partially..
Your Score: Jimmy Stewart
You scored 21% Tough, 9% Roguish, 61% Friendly, and 9% Charming!

You are the fun and friendly boy next door, the classic nice guy who still manages to get the girl most of the time. You're every nice girl's dreamboat, open and kind, nutty and charming, even a little mischievous at times, but always a real stand up guy. You're dependable and forthright, and women are drawn to your reliability, even as they're dazzled by your sense of adventure and fun. You try to be tough when you need to be, and will gladly stand up for any damsel in distress, but you'd rather catch a girl with a little bit of flair. Your leading ladies include Jean Arthur and Donna Reed, those sweet girl-next-door types.
Find out what kind of classic dame you'd make by taking the Classic Dames Test.

Somehow, I knew I'd come out with Jimmy Stewart. (Wonder if Rock Hudson is in there for guys of a... certain bent.)
10:14PM - Rule #34..
Nothing is safe. NOTHING.
Those who don't know what "Rule 34" means: CLICK THIS FIRST.
3:58PM - From various corners of my f-list
You are... 0% unique and 33% herdlike
(partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy harry potter).
When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please.
Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.
Your overall weirdness is: 13
(The average level of weirdness is: 27.You are weirder than 22% of other LJers.)
Find out what your weirdness level is!
Apparently having "Harry Potter" as an interest puts a thumb on the "herdlike" scale. (Slightly disappointed on the weirdness score...)

I'm not sure what the rules are here, other than X the movies you've actually seen. To be on the safe side, I didn't mark the movies I've only seen bits of.
( My score was 88/248, BTW )

4:14PM - Lunchtime music musings and other random bitchings thoughts
So I'm watching part of VH1's 40 Least Metal Moments (Which included such lowlights as Michael Bolton: Frontman, the Damn Yankees, Paul Stanley in Phantom of the Opera, and "Ice Ice Baby" - the metal version). Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, were Jethro Tull winning the first Hard Rock/Metal Grammy and Sheryl Crow's neutering of "Sweet Child O' Mine"
I thought to myself "How are those not 1 and 2?"
Then they showed the teaser for the top 5, which included two things I'd completely blocked from memory forgotten about: Pat Boone: In a Metal Mood and Celine Dion invoking new levels of WRONG with "You Shook Me All Night Long".
"Oh," I thought, "That's how!" (See the list from 1-20 here)

Well, the internet at home (as well as my cable service) has been out for nearly two weeks now.
At first I chalked it up to Comcast not taking my online payment and cutting off service. I thought it was odd because A) I hadn't gotten the customary cut-off notice, B) The channel info and time were still on my cable box (When I've been turned off before, both were blanked out, C) Thing went down @ 1 in the afternoon. (It's always been overnight before).
I chalked up these differences to the continuing crisis that is the TimeWarner/Comcast changeover. So I waited a week before I could pay the bill and restore service.
And then service didn't get restored.
Because it turns out I wasn't cut off; my service is just out. And even though I called them on Wednsday, they couldn't get out and check on things until Saturday.
...And, to add insult to injury, the service rep asked if I'd like to consider switching over to Comcast's phone service?
How about you fix the things I'm actually paying for before offering me more stuff, 'K?
And yes, I am SERIOUSLY looking into switching over to BellSouth's broadband/sattelite package. (Now more than ever)

6:17PM - SpiderMan 3... Yeah.
Finally got around to seeing Spidey 3.
You know that unspoken law that second sequels, odd-numbered Star Trek movies, and anything that can be described as a "prequel" will suck?
Spider-Man 3 does not break the chain.
( The verdict: Not Good )
In short, this is two hours of my life I want back. (Here's hoping Shrek The Third doesn't also succumb to the Third Movie (and prequels and odd-numbered Trek movies) Will Suck curse)
