They fired the AD after Saturday's pathetic excuse for a home football game - our worst home loss since 1955.
Everybody at work was cheering.
Anyway. Cute kid came through the lane today, dressed as Spiderman. His mom said yesterday he was Jeff Gordon. Really cute kid, he made me smile.
In other news, I can breathe out of both my nostrils again. And I can almost smell things, too! And my voice is almost back to normal!
My hobbit hit level 11 yesterday.
Hmm, that's about it. My life is pretty boring right now.

1:13 am - My Day, by Froda, Age 22

1. Retail slave for six hours. My legs were sore. Had to take Ibuprofen. Standing in one spot for hours at a time is not particularly comfortable. Lady showed up, looked no older than early-30s, five kids in tow, pregnant with a sixth. Scareh. I mean, whatever floats your boat, but I don't imagine it'd be very fun, trying to raise five noisy kids while pregnant. She looked quite harried.
The five kids were much more well-behaved than the two kids who came in with their grandparents, one of whom was screaming by the time they reached my lane and the other was threatening to if Grandma didn't buy him TWO bags of candy even though she obviously only wanted to get him one.
On the up side, I didn't screw up any checks, and we only got bogged down about three times due to being short-staffed (and not because I was slow and stupid or something).
2. Came home and unwound with spaghetti and slaughtering a bunch of wolves in Middle Earth. And a few goblins. Then of course I ran smack into THREE goblins and barely had time to think "oh shit" before I was dead. Well. Now I know where they are, I can sit and WAIT for them to come to me, one by one. Muahahaha.

I have discovered the wonderful world of MMORPGs today. I downloaded a 7-day free trial of Lord of the Rings Online, and my Elf Lore-Master from Rivendell is at level 6 now.
Anyone else play this game, or is everyone I know over on WoW?

Nothing, er, spoilery. But I was sitting there and every few minutes I was like "that is so cute." And when I wasn't doing that, I was laughing at something.
Definitely watching this again next week.
In other news, the job, it is going well. I think I am hitting my stride, yo. I can work that cash register. ;)
Have I mentioned that the Best Buy breakroom is possibly the best breakroom on the face of the planet? Can YOU play Guitar Hero on your break? I didn't think so.

I've mentioned this before, but I recently started up a muse journal for Tonks, and I've actually been writing a fair amount lately. So here's what I did in September. Just in case we're still actually warning for these things, I should mention the whole journal is riddled with DH spoilers, so if you still haven't read DH and don't want to be spoiled, I wouldn't click any of these links.

I got a job.
Okay, so it's pending a drug test (lulz) and it's only part-time (for now), and it's only $7.50/hr to start, but it is a JOB. GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT, PEOPLE.
Also, Best Buy has a really great employee discount! Wow!
You guys, I am really happy right now. It might not seem like a big deal, but wow. This is a huge weight off my shoulders.

My sister got into a car accident today.
Not hurt, and it wasn't her fault, but the back end of her car (which she's only had a few months) is pretty beat up. Until she gets a loaner I have to get up at 8 AM to take her to school.
