A friend of mine was saying that she forgets she has a Journalfen account, and I realized that I do too. Since my last post, I have posted the following fics on IJ:
- Four chapters of Teamwork, the sequel to Snakes and Lions. Note that this story will go up to NC-17, occasionally, but like Snakes and Lions, will be plot-centric.
- Rumors: NC-17, H/D, sequel to Whispers, read the warnings if anything might upset you.
- Chapter 21 of Watching Harry: NC-17, Harry/many.

Wow! I haven't been here in a while, and I mostly haven't been reading my JF or IJ friends list (so I'm probably chapters behind on jordangrant's fic). Just as a summary, here's what I've posted on IJ since my last post here:

Hello! I'm back to this (after a long hiatus), with three more chapters in the pipeline. If you're seeing this twice, you probably have me friended on both IJ and JF.
Note: When I finished Snakes and Lions, it was with the release of OotP imminent. I rushed the last chapter, and have been unhappy with the end of the story ever since. This extension is meant to remedy that. I am considering putting the story up on the Archive with these chapters instead of the original ending.
To read: From Snakes and Lions, drop Chapter 44, and put in these chapters (44 through 52) instead. (Chapter 49 is a slightly edited version of the original Chapter 44.)

Just in case this is a larger rumor, I thought I'd say....
A friend of mine had somehow gotten the impression that I had finished the Finder's Fee series because I intended to stop writing fanfic, or to stop writing HP fanfic. This is far from the case. I have been doing more work on original stories, recently, but I also have quite a lot of fanfic in the works, including:
- New Snarry
- A story with a pairing I've never done before and a kink I've never posted before
- A story with a threesome I've never done before
- (maybe) New H/D

I typed it about a month ago, possibly in the dark. Any ideas? I can't make any sense of it, even with my fingers off by a key on one side. The lines before and after are coherent.
Much to my annoyance, I can't access my userpics here. I'm logged in, but JF is acting like I'm not.

12:02 pm - Blood Magic on Archive, other notes

Well, it took a few weeks, but Blood Magic now on the Archive at the End of the Universe, with a few minor corrections. It staggers me that I still find errors in the thing. I've also marked it AU, just so as not to throw new readers too badly. I plan to do the same with Snakes and Lions once I've had some time to actually write. I'm thinking of deleting it on fanfiction.net, since that version is only half-betaed.
You know, Blood Magic has chapters that are over 9000 words? If I'd realized that, I'd forgotten.
Current projects:
- Smutmas fic (still conceptual)
- Last Finder's Fee story
- Worlds Together sequel
- Blood Magic "possible continuation" short
- Really dirty (but not chan) Sirry (fragmentary)
To my surprise, I'm really enjoying the gradual move off livejournal. I'm NOT copying my friends list over wholesale, so I can actually use my friends view to read on JF and IJ. I may start following more comms. I need to copy over some user icons, though.

7:49 pm - Night Crossings, other stuff

In answer to an earlier question, I expect I'll cross-post to LJ, JF, and IJ for a while -- when it makes sense. This post, for example, will go in all three places.
I just (belatedly!) posted Night Crossings to The Archive at the End of the Universe. Since it was PG-13 and I put it up unlocked, there was no sense of urgency, and then I just, um, forgot.
Blood Magic has been intermittently inaccessible for a while, because of problems on Schnoogle, so I'm just starting the tedious work of reformatting that for the Archive as well. I wish that the Archive had an option to take straight HTML. It only takes about a minute per file, with emacs macros, to strip out the paragraph tags and carriage returns, but there are a lot of files, and there are always errors that need to be fixed by hand.

8:48 pm - Mostly unpacked

Whew! So, here's my new journal. I haven't done any decorating, yet, but I imported all my journal threads from LJ, and have fixed major formatting problems back to September 2004. A lot of previously locked posts have been unlocked, and some of what was locked to hp-adults is now just flocked, as we are all, presumably, in the 18+ category.
To do:
* Finish formating fixes (done)
* Customize journal (done twice)
* Pay for this account
* Import userpics
* Import friends
* Decide whether to unlock anything else
* create a sticky "This journal include content some people find offensive: Enter or friend at your own risk" post.
After all that, I suppose I should post a fic as a sort of journal-warming party.
