So today at work my colleague was talking on the phone with her boyfriend. They've recently returned from a holiday, and he had made a gallery of all their holiday pictures, and so she was repeating the web address of the gallery, and as she repeated the web address back to him she kept saying: somethingsomething SLASH somethingsomething SLASH somethingsomething SLASH, every time she said slash I started giggling (yeah I know, very lame).
On my way home from work I was walking past a porn shop, the shop next door (a greengrocer) had a sign in the window, saying "Exotic nuts for sale" that made me smile.
I guess I have a one-track mind.

I went to see my doctor yesterday, seems like I managed to get laryngitis, lucky me. He gave me some antibiotics, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work, 'CAUSE I'M GOING CRAZY!!! I can't communicate without a notepad and a pen, how annoying is that??
I went back to work today, 'cause sitting here watching tv and feeling sorry for myself was too boring, and besides other than not being able to talk I'm fine.
I'll be going to London next month (April 10th-13), it'll be short but hopefully fun. I'm going with my husband David, he's never been to London before. We've actually never travelled anywhere together, so yay for that. David's sister will be looking after our son while we're away.

| Sectus is back!! |

I'm overjoyed, there's going to be a Sectus in 2009, and it will be in a castle a freakin' castle!!
Booking for Sectus 2009 has now opened and seriously, it's going to be amazing. The venue is Bodelwyddan Castle in Wales, and it's absolutely gorgeous (see pics!). At night you can see it lit up on its hill from the main road, just like Hogwarts. As well as the wonderful castley exterior, it has all the facilities of a modern four-star hotel, including a swimming pool and numerous bars.
We have the castle all to ourselves for all four days, plus massive grounds that include woods and even a maze! This is going to be a completely one-of-a-kind event—we'll do all the usual papers and panels, but we'll also have extra activities including archery and a bunch of stuff that we haven't quite decided on yet.
This is going to be the coolest con since ... well, Sectus 2007 ;-)

| OMG Christmas is coming! |

December 1ST, Christmas is lurking right around the corner. Today I decorated my flat, tomorrow I' baking cookies, I love Christmas.
Yesterday was a really bad day at work. I was terribly busy all day, I simply couldn't keep up. It all started Wednesday. When I arrived at work two workmen were moving a wall in my office, they were making a mess and construction materials we blocking our access to our printers so we were unable to print anything. As a result I had a lot of catching up today Thursday, and somehow I forgot to print four large posters for a regular client of mine. So when his son showed up to pick up the posters Friday they weren't ready, heck I hadn't even designed them yet. So because this is one of my favourite clients I told him that I would personally deliver his posters Saturday morning when they opened for business, unfortunately they open at 7 on Saturdays!! So this morning I got up at 6, I am sooo not a morning person. Lucky for me it only took about 20 minutes to get there. I kind a like the city when it so quiet, so I decided to walk home (took about 35 min.), so when I got back home at about 8.30 I undressed and went straight back to bed.
So after I got up (for the second time), I went shopping for a few items I needed for baking and decorating, and OMG it took me three hours. I managed to get everything I needed in one shop, except one thing, isn't that typical?
Anyways flat is looking nice and christmassy, so I'm happy.

This year I've been busy!
In August I pulled over and changed ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) snapetoy's flat tire (15 points). Last Wednesday I committed genocide... Sorry about that, lysa1 (-5000 points). In February I pushed son_of_darkness in the mud (-17 points). In October I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn't glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points). In May I had a shoot-out with rival gang lords on the 5 near LA (-76 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-6090 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!
