Backdate: Monday, September 25th, 2006. On vacation, Mykonos (Greek Isles). Matthew Gray Gubler and jessespencer. Enjoying Jesse’s get away. Will be backdated and cross-posted. Players Only.
Jesse grins as the captain puts down anchor and he near to bounces at the idea of getting the two of them on some firm ground and to one of the nude beaches. It ought to be a fun, relaxing time after their interaction with his parents. He's still attempting to get all that shite tamped back down and boxed up again. It doesn't affect them and he just has to remember that. Moving back toward the cabin, he grabs Gray around the waist and lifts him up, pressing him into the wall. "Almost ready to get off the boat, love?"
Laughing as he's pressed against the wall, Gray wraps his arms around Jesse's neck. "I'm just not sure about a nude beach," he laughs. "It's not that I overly mind being nude--not that I have the figure of Apollo or anything--but...um...the state you put me in..." Gray laughs again, blushing a bit. "Well, you know..."
Nibbling at Gray's ears and throat, Jesse chuckles softly. "Hmmmm, getting to watch you in the sunshine, all hard for me. Think I like that idea. After all, we never left the room in Maui." He presses his hips against Gray's, showing his own erection hardening. "We'll be two of a kind. But, I never want to hear you talk about your body like that." His hand trails under the edges of Gray's shirt and over the soft skin beneath. "Your skin is like the finest marble used for sculpture and every time I look at you, all I want is to touch you, to feel your body under my fingers, my lips." With another soft kiss, he lets Gray slide back to the floor. "Let's stroll into town first, get the libidos under control before we attempt the beach."
"Fuck," Gray manages as he's released, blinking a bit and so fucking hard it hurts now. "You're evil and also very, very sweet..." He leans over, kissing Jesse's cheek. "I just don't think a normal nude beach will appreciate two guys so hot for one another they're sporting erections. I'm just saying..." He's smiling though as he takes Jesse's hand. "I love you."
"Well, that'll be their problem, not ours." He chuckles and hugs Gray hard before stepping back to grab his hand and tug him along. Unsure why, Jesse is as excited as a kid at Christmas as they make their way down the boat to the dock. "Time's running, isn't it? Soon, you'll have to get back to London...and school." And that's where he gets insecure; Gray won't need him around so much once he's busy again.
"Don't say it like I'm moving to Siberia and you'll never see me," Gray says softly, knowing this has been weighing on his lover's mind. "It could be worse, I could be heading back to school at Oxford...living between two places. This way, at least I'm close, yeah?" He stops them so he can look at Jesse.
"Yeah," the word is soft, quiet and still worried. "I'm glad you'll be in London, that I'll be able to see you more than if you were commuting between the two." Jesse smiles at Gray, trying for reassurance even while his brain swirls with the fact that he just knows that school is going to swallow Gray's attention. "I'm glad you're doing it...it's who you are. And, I'll be in London the whole time."
"Good," Gray smiles, stroking Jesse's face. "I like having you around even if we just sit quietly doing our own thing. You're still worried though I can see it in your eyes." Not that Gray doesn’t have his own concerns, not being as…available to Jesse.
"Don't mind me and my eyes." He grins and kisses Gray lightly before grabbing his hand again and tugging him along. "Let's go have fun and worry about worrisome things later, okay? If I remember correctly, the port is around that jut of land with the windmills and we can get most anything we want there."
"As long as you promise to talk to me about it later," Gray responds, letting himself be tugged. "Promise that and we can think of worrisome things later."
"Promise." And like kids the world over, he crosses two of his fingers and vows, silently, to keep his fears to himself as Gray does not need his emotions as a distraction from school. Grinning again, he tugs Gray along, up the hill and past the windmills that identify Mykonos out of the Greek isles, and down the hill to the port with its Gyro shops, souvenir stores and nightclubs. Old men drinking Ouzo dot the tables at the water's edge and Jesse breathes in the scent of the salt water and the pipes being smoked... the breath out releasing so much tension in him. This is his island of islands and now he has someone to share it with.
"I love it," Gray comments at length after they've walked around for a bit, having reserved quiet judgment on the proclamation as he took everything in. "It's...I don't know, but I love it."
"Yeah," he murmurs it and tightens his grip. "This is my favorite place...I come here often. You hungry at all? Or just want to wander a bit?" The whitewash is a bit dingy now, the freshness done at Easter wearing down in the bright Aegean sun...but it is still beautiful and welcoming.
"Let's just wander, we can eat later...I want to look around. Can we stay here a bit?" Gray inquires as they move, still holding hands as he takes in everything.
"We can stay as long as you like." He grins as they move about, stopping whenever Gray wants to look something over. "And, this is just the port...there are so many things all over the island. And, even a trip by ferry to another island to see some ruins, if you feel up to it."
"Ruins? Are you kidding me? Pass up a chance to see ruins? Are you sure you want to let me loose on that?" Gray inquires, grinning like a five year old.
Chuckling, Jesse nods. "Yeah, I'd love to see it, actually." And, he thinks, </i>the island of ruins is not that big.</i> "We'll buy tickets today for tomorrow's ferry over. We can also rent a scooter or two and travel over the island that way as well." He stops in front of a store with some interesting items and tugs Gray inside. Jesse lets him go to look on his own as he grabs a large handful of brightly colored scarves and buys them with a wicked grin on his face. He has plans for his lover.
"Oooh can we get a scooter that rides two so I can hold onto you?" Gray asks as they move into the shop and he starts poking around, picking up this and that. "Do they have souvenirs where the ruins are? I'll have to get the Prof something ridiculous about them to take back--as well as a ton of decent pictures, I don't think he's ever mentioned being to Mykonos, but who the hell knows. He lived with the Bedouin...so anything's possible."
"We certainly can...that's what I would prefer...having you on the back of my scooter. And, no...unfortunately, there isn't anything available on Delos, except the ruins. They, quite literally, are the only things on the island. The ferries run in and out every day, but no one lives there and nothing exists except the crumbling buildings and such." He tucks the bag of scarves into his day pack and reaches out for Gray's hand again. "There's so much here, we could stay for a week easily, if we wanted."
"I'm totally not going to argue with that idea," Gray says wistfully. "Are there places to camp? That could be fun, have you ever been camping? I can't remember if you've ever said..." he rambles on, mind already thinking over the possibilities. "And I'll have to be sure to take plenty of pictures then, maybe I can find some kind of souvenir here on this island..."
"Camp? Not sure there are places on the island, but we can check." He shakes his head on a laugh. "I haven't been camping since I was a child. With everything else on the island, I'm sure we can find something for Mads...that's his name, right?"
"Yep...Mads Mikkelsen," Gray smiles. "And that's much too long to have not been camping. We'll definitely have to remedy that."
Jesse chuckles. "I'll leave that up to you to plan...so not my area of expertise." Wrapping Gray in a tight hug, he steers him toward a favorite hang out spot and nudges him into a seat in front of the water. "Time for an afternoon beverage as I plot just how I'm going to get you to the beach."
"Damn, I hadn't distracted you from that?" Gray teases as he's ushered into a chair, winking at his lover. He plucks up the menu and looks it over. "Something light I think--and a cocktail, it's a vacation, I can have a cocktail at lunchtime if I want..."
"Yes, you can...course we've been having cocktails for breakfast, too." He winks at Gray and tangles their legs together under the table. "And, no...there's no way that you are distracting me from having you on the nude beach with me...not a chance." He scans his own menu and decides on a traditional salad for himself.
Gray decides on fruit, not feeling overly hungry, and a fruity cocktail--feeling girly. Sinking down in his chair, he sighs happily. "I have to admit, this is the life. I'm not sure I could do it non-stop forever though."
Laughing at Gray, Jesse reaches out to snag his hand again. "It's definitely a life, but I know it would bore you to tears for more than a few weeks at a time." He tugs Gray's fingers to his lips to nibble on them. "You have so much going on in your mind, so much that you want to see and do in worlds I couldn't begin to comprehend."
"I could show you," Gray grins. "You may not have as good a time in mine, but I'd like to show you..." He squeezes Jesse's hands, knowing a lot of his interests are probably considered very boring.
"I would like that. I want to be a part of your world, too...want to be a part of that life." He smiles at Gray, wishing he could tell the other man just how badly he wants that. "I'd also like you to meet my friend, Jensen. I think you'd like him...he's about the only person from this life who's rather normal."
"I'd love to meet him and you need to meet Drew..." Gray frowns a moment. "I'm still worried about him. Maybe you'll have to come with me to LA to see him."
"Anytime you want or need." Jesse reaches out and traces the line on his forehead. "You want to give him another call? Just check in on him from here?"
"No, I trust him to call if he needs me. I'll call him tonight maybe...just to see," Gray says smiling. "I'm sorry; I don't want to bring down our day."
"Your love and concern for a friend could never bring down our day. It's the good and generous side of you that shines through." He takes Gray's hand again and kisses his fingertips, only letting go once the waitress shows up to deliver their drinks and food. "Enjoy, love...and we'll head to the beach."
"Sounds perfect," Gray says, smiling and filled with warmth.
