| Bio: | Summary: Gus works for the Ministry of Magic, in the Magical Compliance office. The Weasleys have heard of Gus from their father, and the older Weasleys (Bill, Charlie, Percy) may have met him when they were children. He hasn't been to their house since he tried to put a hex on Arthur Weasley during the Mortlake-ferret incident referred to in HP-CoS, but things between him and the Weasleys are now looking up and he gets on reasonably well with the younger ones. People may also recall that it was Mundungus who at the time of the Quidditch World Cup in HP-GoF tried to claim from the Ministry for a large tent with en-suite Jacuzzi. Percy said that in fact Mundungus was sleeping under a cloak propped on sticks. It is only fair to say that Mundungus' story of this incident is quite different. He is supposed to have been a good auror in his time, but though he is not particularly old in wizard terms (he's in his mid 50s) he has become a bit peculiar, probably due to long exposure to Muggles. People point to his eccentric habit of usually wearing Muggle clothes as evidence of insanity. He's from an old wizard family, not rich or influential but not poor either. All of his family are the kind of people who would write angry letters to the papers, and he is no exception. People who know him well will also know that Fletcher was (or is) a skilled auror and a fairly powerful wizard. As he now works for the Ministry again, people visiting the Ministry may encounter him in the corridors. Members of Order of the Phoenix know he's not retired at all, but works on and off for them - Lupin and Dumbledore know him personally as (now) does Snape. He's a skilled investigator, and is supposed to be a powerful wizard. He lives in Hogsmeade with Prue Vector. The bottom floor of their house is Prue's laboratory, and the distribution centre for the Wolfsbane Project. Gus adores Quidditch and is probably the Reading Rollers greatest fan. Physical description: see the picture. Eyes are grey and hair is greying dark brown - the picture was taken in 1978. Unlike Alastor Moody, he's not covered in scars and he has both eyes and all limbs intact.
