I still freaking love trading in Suikoden games. SO MUCH. Got a spreadsheet from GameFAQs and most of the trading areas opened up and it's like eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Also apparently you need to trade in this game so the blacksmith can make more stuff? So I'm getting that done, too. so. Anyway. tradiiiiiiiing~~~~


...anyway. I ♥ THIS GAME, there we go. Voice acting still pretty bad, though. alas.

Anyway.

Been playing Suikoden Tierkreis again. ~12-13 hours in, and despite some things (like a lack of escape talismans or similar items when they expect me to backtrack through a big annoying maze-like dungeon from the very deepest part ) I think I kind of love it? Or I'm at least very fond of it, anyway. It's very... I dunno, "homey", in a way. It's in a whole new world with new rules and etc., but it's still a very Suikoden game. Me keeping up my tradition of naming my group "Heaven" and my castle "Kinnison" is probably helping with that part (or not, depending on how you view it), but... I dunno. I just like it. >:|

Also despite not using a walkthrough 'til I had to find my way back through aforementioned mazelike dungeon, I apparently haven't irrevocably missed anybody yet, and a lot of my favorites from looking through the artbook on Dokuganryu join by default anyway, so... yay! :D:D:D:D

Also the MC is an idiot hero who accepts and cares about cat people from other worlds and all sorts of others as soon as he meets them, so really this was probably an inevitability, haha. If I ever start a new playthrough (unlikely with only 2 save slots unless I buy a second cartridge, orz, but), I might have to name the company "Hugs". :P

Also I just recruited the cutest big horned giant guy ever and I want to hug him and never let him gooooooooooo. :( The giants in this game are all really cool apparently, actually. yay! \o/

anyway.

Been playing Tales of Vesperia again, heading back to Nordopolica after funtimes in the desert. Was really confused when I started playing again 'cause I couldn't remember a lot of the NPCs. XD;; But now s'all good.

Managed to get some more attachments! Hooray for glasses and sunglasses! \o/

Also do some of the end-battle things change with time? 'cause Rita's gotten the hang of high-fiving and I'm pretty sure I remember Estelle having to ask her to hold her hand up before. Also, does Estelle have a high-five quote with Karol? 'cause he's the only one I haven't gotten one for. (Her trying to high-five Repede is cute, haha. "Your... tail?" C'mon, Repede, be nice. :P Our German Shepherd can high-five, SO CAN YOU.)

Also, on the one hand, kind of like Raven. On the other hand, if he keeps calling himself old I may have to find a way to kill him through the screen. Especially since he's also big on third-person. ONE OR THE OTHER, RAVEN.

Also, Duke is hot. And I think I've gotten used to Judith's outfit. I even think it's kind of cute, now. :( (Still totally ridiculous, though.)

Tales of Vesperia, Ehmead Hill. I WANT TO HUG EVERYBODY. I love Yuri and his grin, Rita and smartassedness, Estelle and her... Estelleiness, and also I am usually a sucker for dogs and kids in games (automatic hit to the "must protect" gut, which seems to govern my liking a lot of the characters I like), so there we go. Also Repede is awesome in general, and Yuri+Repede=BFF?
I think all I've got left to get is Raven and Half-Naked Elf Chick? (Who I am really tempted to see if I can rename her that whenever I get her. >_>) Still haven't seen Guy Flynn yet outside of the cutscene. DAMN YOU, GUY FLYNN.

Random note: Yuri is one of my favoritest names ever. The character is living up to his name's expectations!

Also, how late do attachments come into the game? Or can you only get them through X-Box Live? :( orz.

Holy shit that dude at Ehmead Hill sounds like Piglet. ...Almost. Anyway.

Back to playing! It's been so long since I've played a Tales game, it feels like. I'm so used to the Persona games I keep forgetting I can't just meander off during battles, haha. Oh well.

(At least once you get used to Royston, who taaaaaaaaaaaaalks and talks and talks and rather ornately, too, and if halcyonjazz@lj hadn't already put an image of him in my mind I'd probably have gone through the book imagining him as Bastian from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (and also Radiant Dawn), as he is also a loquacious motherfucker and only somewhat more ridiculously ornate. Also if you're less than fond of childish/fratboyish pranks, some parts early on can be kind of twitchy to read. Also Royston's "I LOVE YOU! YOU LOVE ME! LET'S MAKE THIS RELATIONSHIP PAINFUL AND DIFFICULT AND CONFUSING FOR BOTH OF US. :D:D:D:D", which on the one hand I could understand his reasoning, on the other hand, OH JUST SHUT UP AND MAKE OUT, DAMN YOU. *tears out hair* And etc.)

It's probably just 'cause I'm on easy mode, but that actually wasn't as hard as I figured it'd be. Then again, well. Power Charge + God's Hand, the aforementioned wind-boosting abilities plus Garudyne, and Mind Charge + Megidola. YEAH. (And with the MC to heal and then join in the fighting when he ran out of SP and I rand out of SP items.)
