A'ight, those of you who asked for fic links, eyes this way. If I didn't forget anything, this should be every fic concerning Havoc that I've written since joining this fandom, as well as every fic that I've ever posted for other fandoms in this journal. If it ain't here, it can be found using the "request drabbles" tag. Also, I beg that you heed warnings on the fics.
Thirdly, if you're more interested in drawings, hit up the "artpost" tag.

I seem to be getting hit with an influx of this psychological crap lately. Blame Gaiman.
Title: The Rabbit Hole Caving in Fandom: Marvel Pairing: Steve/Tony/Tiberius (really), Hank/Jan, familial Tony/Jan Rating: PG13 Genre: Angst, metaphysical timey-wimey stuff. Verse: 616/RP Summary: It's not real, he tells himself, but it hurts all the same to watch it all fall apart. Archive: Sure A/N: It's not required listening for reading, but I had The Last Day [Scene #156] from the Casshern movie soundtrack on repeat for almost the entire time I was writing this.

'sup, guys. I hate to ask this sort of thing, but I'm looking for some aid from you lot. No, you don't have to give me money. I've entered the "Top 40 Exhibition" competition for the Arts and Culture Alliance, and it basically runs like this:
-people pick works they like from the options - people email their top ten picks - the 40 with the most votes are put in a gallery for viewing and sale
More explanation here: Top 40
So what I am asking y'all for is votes. I've entered two pieces, and I would love to be able to show, possibly even sell either of them, and for that, I need you. My entered works are
#22 = Serenity (which some of you saw in my BFA show) and #113 = Last Picked to Dance
So, what say you? Can I have one or two pieces in your ten? Please?

I'm about to do something horrible: put some angst in the Marvel Adventures-verse. Consider it therapy, in an attempt to exorcise all the angstbunnies I've been having lately.
Title: All the Paths Untraveled Fandom: Marvel Adventures Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: PG13 Genre: Supernatural, some angst Summary: "One way or another, they all end up back here."

Random Notes for Wednesday:
- Actually worked on two fics today. Six whole paragraphs before my brain choked, and I'm way too proud of that for my own good.
- SO MUCH HATE for the new IIM issue.
- Made cornbread-and-bacon muffins today. Tasty!
- Holy fuck, it's cold in the house.
- I've found my new hobby home: http://www.tastespotting.com/ Soooo many things to try making.

My thoughts on the whole Christian Bale RAGEBUCKET thing:
How fucking awesome would it be to get him to record a voicemail to someone you hate?

::flipping channels:: The new cartoonverse is actually called "Wolverine and the X-Men"? Seriously? Oh, God, Marvel, you're not even trying anymore. And what the hell is up with Ororo's huge, unmoving bubble of hair? It's not even a 'fro, it's like some kind of squishy turtle shell down her neck and back.

It's been a bad week. Not bad, like, death in the family bad, but bad. I think I'm getting burned out on the job search. I've applied for everything from grocery store cashier to census taker, and so far, nobody wants me. Even the Walmarts around here aren't hiring, and God knows they don't have enough people on any of their shifts.
The fact that I'm hitting a low swing isn't helping. It's getting harder and harder to drag myself out of bed to do anything, and going out to fill out more applications that won't get me a job is like pulling teeth. And even though I know she's under stress despite being retired, and I know it's not her fault, the fact that Mama's getting frustrated with me isn't helping. I don't want to live here, they don't want me to live here (they'll never say it out loud, but it's getting fairly obvious whenever we talk for an extended period of time), and nothing seems to be looking up.
Fic ain't happening, art ain't happening ("I can't even sell what I've done already, why should I make more?" my brain tells me whenever I pick up a pencil).
I just want to feel better. I really want a job, but right now, I'll take what little is actually feasible.

More RPbits, this time, focusing more on the not-so-humorous elements. Previous warning, these will be long posts.
In this episode, comicsverse Tony temporarily crosses into our game, courtesy of Dr. Strange, and doesn't exactly take well to certain elements. Namely, Tiberius. This causes more than a little strife for our happy band of nutcases. Brief mentions of crossover with the DCAU, and also, we have a mutant variation of an Avatar character living in the verse, but you don't really need to know the canon for that.
( In which they cross paths for the first time and Jan and Steve try to avert bloodshed. )
( In which Tony and Tony meet each other and the gang gets some revelations they could have lived without. )
( In which there's a brief moment of humor, and more doubt. )
( In which working with another version of you gets painful, and old problems get resolved. Sort of. )
( In which the other Tony goes home, and Jan wonders what kind of mother she'll be. )
( And finally, In which Dr. Strange and an odd little girl make a visit. )
Tune in next time for the Saga of Hank, Jan, and Project Cadmus' attempts to screw them up but good.

Sign of the times, y'all. My staunchly conservative mother cried while we watched the inauguration speech, she liked it so much.
In other news: Yesterday was Edgar Allan Poe's 200th. Raise a glass of cognac to one of the original masters of creepy.
Also, also: I want an abortion doughnut (confused? go here) like burning right now. Why couldn't I have waited until tomorrow to start the diet?

So I was working on the next chapter of this Extremis thing I've been writing, when Steve started to angst all over the paragraphs. And, annoyingly enough, he has a point. Aside from Pepper, and maybe Maria, nobody's going to be going into this to help Tony. They'd all be doing it for Steve. Because he asked/they believe in him/they owe him, whatever, the only reason they'd be assisting at all is for Steve, and he just realized this about halfway through the chapter. And that brought up a point that I have yet to be able to work around or come up with an answer to: What's the point of going to all the trouble of bringing Tony back into a world that's going to tell him to his face they liked it better when he was dead?
Wham.
Fuck, I hate logic walls, because now I'm stuck.

::drums nails on laptop casing:: Well, fuckity. Three fics staring at me from Deepest Sender, and I seem to have hit walls on all of them. And I just realized I haven't worked on any of my FMA challenges or arcs since... what, October or previous?
God, I'm fandom useless lately.

More videos, just because I can.
A little backstory. When I was little, first learning to walk and talk, I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh. I'd had a stuffed Pooh Bear since I was born (still have him, actually), and the quickest way to shut me up was to put a VHS of "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" episodes my mother had taped off TV in. My maternal grandmother will swear on a stack of Bibles that the first word she ever heard me say was "Rewind!", so I could re-watch them all. I ended up wearing that tape to worthless.
I haven't seen the show since it got cancelled and went into reruns (then vanished off TV entirely), but I still remember the three episodes I loved the most. And number one was "Find Her, Keep Her". As a toddler, I didn't really understand the point, I just thought Kessie was the most adorable thing ever. But now, having been to high school and college, I understand why Mama always cried when she watched the episode with me. And so I share it with all of you.
The sound and the video don't quite match up because of a skip in the files, but it's still easy to follow everything.

Because everyone should see some of this lady's awesome, since I already ranted about her passing.
