I would <3 to take like...a few months off and do nothing. Or potter about sorting things out that when I get home from work have no brains left to concentrate on or am too busy at weekends to figure out.

It would be nice.

Today...I think I am going to have a Space: Above and Beyond marathon. It's been a while. And thinking about that...if I have S:AAB even though I had to buy a dvd player I could hack to watch it, why don't I have Seaquest and Lexx as well? And VR.5


Although VR.5 isn't out on dvd. Probably. It was kind of bad. I might have some videos of a few episodes stashed somewhere. Hmm.

And...zoooomg I am so excited about the new AFI album. I think I've already preordered it. I should check that, just in case I really have and then go and order another copy. Have I mentioned that I'm excited? I am WAY more excited than I was for the last album. No idea why though. Maybe I have more time to hang out on the Despar Faction messageboards like I used to back in the daaay. :D At least I finally got around to joining the fan club this year. Weeeeeeee.

...I tried watching the first series. And to start with? It was ok. Almost good even. But then I just kind of lost interest. Pah.

I think maybe trying to watch an ongoing series just takes too much time. I want to know the whole story in y'know, a relatively short time period. Or at least, just the one sitting.

What is it with Band of Brothers hmm? I'm trying desperately to wade through it but it's just so... boring. Maybe it's seeing all these British actors and then them opening their mouths and their accents coming out all wrong. Maybe it's too slow moving and grim.

I dunno.

I've finished the second disc but I don't think I can bring myself to waste more rentals on it. :/


Does it get better?

So. I finally got round to watching Night Watch. I don't quite know what I was expecting, but the film turned out to be ok.

It started off pretty well, went a bit dodgy in the middle and then picked up towards the end. I think mostly, it makes me want to check out the books it's based on. That could be a good thing, or it could be a bad thing. I am curious though, about the Russian edit of the film and whether the scenes that are in that that aren't in the international edit would make it make more or less sense.

Hmm.

ZOMG Russia won. Latvia woz robbed.

The UK song is ok. Not Eurovisiony though bah.

Bosnia & Herzegovina are awesomely cracky.

Israel has a pretty ok song

Finland = metal without rubber :(

Turkey = rockin'

Latvia NEEDS to win. Them and their PIRATES. OMG.

...I had no idea there were so many episodes in season 1. zomg. In fact, the sheer number of YAY episodes, is severely hindering my ability to sit down and do my maths coursework. Ooops.

I almost cannot believe how much I still <3 the X-Files.

Almost.

But then, it *is* awesome.

And then... I start having crazy crazy thoughts.

The X-Files is far far far more awesome than I remembered.

It's like... awesomecake drizzled in awesomesauce with a side of awesome ice-cream.


It's THAT awesome. :D


And Scully's brother is still a total ASS.

So. Not that anyone really watches Robin Hood at all.

But OMG. OMGOMGOMGOMG.


Yeah. Last weekend was a big pile of OMG. And it's been a bit more like that since. With more "...what?" to balance it out.



On the other hand, since my favourite character is on Team Evil? It looks like the third season is going to be AWESOME.

Silverchair last Friday were AWESOME.

In fact, they were AWESOME ON A STICK.

The support band...had 2 or 3 songs that they did over and over with subtley different lyrics. Sometimes they were about crying. Sometimes about... something else. Always about being emo.

ANYWAY. Silverchair were great. And I will try and actually get round to getting hold of their last two albums. :D

What is this filled to capacity rubbish? Dammit.

So... the mod on an AFI icon posting community posts a mod note saying that "y'know guys, this is primarily an icon community, can we see more of the icons and less of the not-icon pictures, random posts and nothing to do with AFI"

So one of the members who most frequently posts pictures goes off in a pseudo-huff and says that you'll only find her pictures and icons stuff in her own AFI community from now on.

Which is kind of wanky I guess.
