I think I'm too dumb for Vox. I've figured out how to post and upload pictures, but I don't know how to find communities or read other people's posts. It's all too picture-based and user-friendly; I long for the old days when websites were written in notepad and we uploaded all our fanfics to Geocities in .txt files.

Eh... usually I think yes, icon stealing is just as idiotic as people who complain about icon stealing. But that's my art and my RP character, and the person who stole it is an idiot, so now I'm a little pissed. I don't know what to do about it, though, without causing wank.

Loosely based on HP, but taking place at a top-secret American school run by the military/Department of Defense and located at Area 51. It kidnaps wizard children born to Muggle parents and trains them as a magical army -- if they don't go mad first.
Background information to come later.

Why do people who scan and upload pictures of other people's art, be it from manga, magazines, anything like that, think they deserve credit when people use those scans?
Yes, it was nice of you. Yes, it would be polite for someone to link back if they use something you scanned in a layout, or icon, or whatever. But, if someone doesn't credit you for using something you scanned but didn't create, please, for the love of god, don't go around whining and bitching like you were actually plagiarized!
And why the hell are you putting your name or URL or website logo on other people's art? Unless you drew it, commissioned it, or were given it as a gift, you have no right.
Ten seconds of sticking a book on a scanner does not create intellectual property.
Edit -- ooh, and my journal looks awesome with proper color settings. Whee and yay.

What I hate most, at this particular moment, is finding an absolutely fascinating fanfic -- long, involved, almost epic -- that contains my absolute favorite pairing in the world, and everything is written absolutely beautifully, except the pairing.
There's suspense, there's drama, there's mystery, and there's also Ron and Draco acting like sappy twelve year old girls and staring at one another's butts at inopportune moments. So, here is a realistic fic based upon those irritating characterizations.
"Quick, the Deatheaters are at the door! I should run, but Draco my love! The sight of your denim-clad gluteus maximus has inspired me with the poetic fire of one thousand erotic suns!"
"Oh Ron! I am lost in your eyes, which smell of strawberries!"
"Avada Kedavara!"
"Oh shit."
END.

The last couple days, I've been completely mental. Not wanting to get anything accomplished, unable to sit still for even a minute, not eating, snapping at my friends...
Part of this is girl problems, and thus forgivable. But another part, a large part, and a part I don't like to admit, is because I haven't yet read Order of the Phoenix.
It's... weird. XD
Not to mention, there are two songs stuck in my head right now, and 'Ballad of the Green Berets' to the tune of 'All the Things she Said' is hardly conducive to mental health.
