Is there anything sadder than a Harmonian? - IMDb HPatDH part 1 board
No really is there??? Harmonioan abound! Zoinks! Particularity, jamesdrax. (at least he's somewhat lucid when compaired to those over at portkey and/or FictionAlley.
Ah nothing like sharing the pain (me to you) in order to prevent myself from reaching through the screen to give that guy a good smack. It not the words but the way he(?) says them that irks me something fierce.

Perhaps 'Midnight Sun' is more promising than that little I've read of 'Twilight' ever could be?
There's a link to a PDF of the first chapter (rough draft) at the bottom of the page.
I never even finished the first book.
EDIT: I think I take back what I said about Midnight Sun being interesting. My god I think we have another stinker here.

How weird is it to have Orson Scott Card berate JKR's behavior and yet writes an essay (for Time magazine) on Twilight's Stephenie Meyer (who has been selected as one of TIME MAGAZINE's 100 Most Influential People of 2008)? Although having just glanced over it he doesn't seem to say much about her writing ability hmmm.
"She writes with luminous clarity, never standing between the reader and the dream they share. She's the real thing. Still, who'd have thought it? Today Mr. Darcy is a vampire." - OSC
I'm not saying she's a bad writer, but the article just irks me somehow.

The weirdo will NOT be writing a "Christian' Lestat novel
FROM ANNE: THERE WILL BE NO CHRISTIAN VAMPIRE NOVEL FROM ME.
In spite of a flood of emails asking for a Christian Lestat novel (a novel in which Lestat is redeemed), and my own comment about this in the press, I am completely putting aside this project. After prayer, meditation, and much pondering, I do not think such a novel is possible. My present focus has to be on my novels about the life of Jesus Christ and I do not want to revisit the realm of my earlier books. I thank all of you who have written to me on this, both pro and con. You have helped me to think out the question. I can assure you; as things stand now there will be no Christian Lestat novel.
I still say she should've let poor Lestat be after QotD or TotBT before she ruined him beyond all recognition.

Just posting here to let ya'll know that I've had my name changed from b_elle to holyheadharpy (because it's so much cooler)
Also my movies of the moment are:
Night at the Museum (Funniest and funnest movie I've seen in AGES (Jedidiah/Octavious forever!) Stardust (I just finished the book last night and saw the movie today)
On another note I would like to thank DannysGirlSG1 for getting my hooked on the Titanic soundtrack again, all thanks to her fic entitled Unable to stay, Unwilling To Leave.
Speaking of fics I also loved Light Me Up. especially the ending bit. Not to mention that I'm rather fond of Dead Hope as well.
