Peace
With the warm weather I've gotten back in the habit of doing T'ai Chi in the driveway of a morning. Like last year, the nesting swallows gather to watch me from the telephone wires. They must remember me along with their nesting place because we didn't go through the distrust and alarm phase that accompanied our first meeting. So it was altogether pleasant running through the form. My meditative calm even managed to survive the ensuing neighbor drama — a barefoot woman with infant trotting down the street screaming at a departing car.
