Oh...right. About me....

I go by a lot of different names, but you can just call me iMpasse--or you can rec a nickname, I'm open. I'm newly 20 years old and attending college with the hopes of eventually getting a Ph.D. in English and possibly a minor in Creative Writing. While I'm not a huge participant in fandom I like watching it and commenting on it, because it's a lot of fun. :) I'm single, childfree and look forward to someday getting a tubal litigation, and very happily the most disorganized person you will probably ever meet.

I'm interested in sexual/reproductive rights, youth rights, and that little area in between Black and White Country we like to call the Gray Area. I'm also a vehement opposer of reparative therapy in ANY sexual minority and a believer that those that are innocent shouldn't be prosecuted--though if you are guilty, then you have no sympathy from me unless people are talking about doing things to you that belong in a Doom game.

If I really like you, you'll know it. If I don't, then you'll know it because I'll proceed to snark the hell out of you for all the world to see. You can avoid being the latter by following the rules:

1. You have something to say, say it to my face. I don't like cowards. If you're an asshole and anonymous, I will proceed to not let Anonymice post here anymore. Don't ruin it for the people who have something intelligent to say.

2. Be civil to everyone in the discussion. Someone has a point you don't agree with, refute it and back your shit up. Basically? Don't be an asshole.

3. You may not talk about killing anyone, maiming anyone, torturing anyone or the like. I will warn you first and then if it continues, I will proceed to ban your sorry ass. This extends to ALL innocent groups, and I mean ALL of them. If you mention it, it's probably not allowed here.

Follow those rules and we're kosher.

As for what this journal will be used for...I plan on joining up with fandom groups, particularly HMS_STFU and perhaps a few wank comms. I'll probably post some of my own fanfic here, along with a few sporks and essays of mine.
