Original Fic // A Knight's Oath is Absolute @ 08:00 pm

One of my classes this semester is a Creative Writing Workshop, where we're writing short stories and poetry. I got an A on my first assignment, "Detail", and I was pretty proud of it so I'm gonna post it XD

Does anyone have any idea where to upload a video clip? I took a little clip for video at the FOB concert last night, and it's 113MB. I tried to upload it to Youtube, but it just hung forever trying to upload, and it's 13MB too big for Photobucket. Is there anywhere else, or am I just gonna have to slap it on like sendspace and tell people to download it? It's only 1:13 long, so it's a tiny clip :/

She was so confused by this, and it took 15 minutes to get her into it. My parents and I nearly wet ourselves laughing taking these pictures. Don't worry, she got a yummy treat after for putting up with us. :D

Well, Shit. @ 04:51 pm

Remind me to never talk politics ever again. My mother burst in, babbling in sheer terror about the "thwarted terrorist plot" and I, in my usual lack of intelligence, managed to blurt out something about how I'm sure Bush and his cronies will be sure to play this up to keep the fear level in America high, and let them keep their policies in place (why don't I ever just keep my goddamn mouth SHUT?) Of course, the terrorist thing is absolutely awful, and I'm glad they stopped it! I just... am so goddamn stupid.

She just looked at me like I was some baby-raping cannibal, told me she was ashamed that I was her daughter, and stormed out. I'm sure she's told her best friend Carol (whom I can't stand), who will feel it's her right to lecture me (um, no, it's not), and them my father, who eats up every word Bush breathes.

Of course, my mother also told me that Jesus didn't love me and I was going to hell when I was 14 and mired deep in the middle of a bone-crushing depression.

In any case, I've lost my parents respect. Maybe I should have just killed myself back in high school.

For all you Snakes on a Plane fans... @ 12:43 pm

Current Music: Oklahoma State of Mind - Kane

My friends and I went to Anime Expo, and we did Snakes on a Plane cosplay, and I'm pretty damn proud of the plane. It took ages to make!

We got a pretty good reception.

A little help needed. @ 05:56 pm

I need some advice, people.

Because I am slow, I only just now learned that there is more than one version of the Black hawk Down DVD. I have the regular old theatrical version, and I really like it. So here's my dilemma:

I'm torn between the Deluxe edition DVD and the extended version DVD. I love behind-the-scenes stuff, so the Deluxe edition appeals to me, but it has the theatrical version, not the extended version. Does anyone have either of these versions of the DVD- is the extra 8 minutes on the Extended worth passing up the behind-the-scenes goodness of the Deluxe? I can't get both, because I'll be shelling out the cash tomorrow to buy the Director's Cut of Kingdom of Heaven.

Mm, I really like war movies and I like epics. See that new Romantic Comedy? BAH! I'll just watch LOTR again, thank you very much.

Zzzz... @ 03:45 am

Current Mood: hot

School started on Monday. I'm going 5 days a week, and working as well. I'm very tired. This semester is going to take a lot out on me, I can tell. I'm taking Statistics, Speech, Oceanography and Japanese.

I recently bought World of Warcraft. I've heard good stuff about it for quite awhile now... however, I don't know if I really like it. I can't find a class I like, or a race. And the forums on the offical site are discouraging, with everyone bitching about how Blizzard is ruining the game and blah blah blah. Apparently, the goal in this game is to get to the highest level in mere weeks, then sit around and bitch about how boring the game is. Discouraging.

It's so hot here, and gas is so expensive. Wah.

It's funny, that this whole mess made me MISS the Est. Because I do. And I do contemplate coming back, as a different character, of course. Perhaps an aged-to-appropriate Jeremy Sumpter. BECAUSE I AM A HUGE PERVERT WHO LOVES BOYS SCANTILY CLAD IN LEAVES.

Of course, then I remember that I'm too shy to initiate RP, and nobody really ever paid me much attention in the Est.

But I do miss it.

Thoughts on Mpreg (feel free to skip) @ 07:12 pm

Current Mood: contemplative

I'm an Mpreg fan. Yes, I'm that weird. A lot of it is poorly written, but there is a lot of good mpreg out there. I prefer it to be in a world where it MAKES sense, or IS possible. A fantasy world, an au, and especially in HP fic, where with spells it could be possible.

I was bored, so I was puttering around Fiction Alley Park, looking for book 6 reactions, when I stumbled across this (http://www.fictionalley.org/fictionalleypark/forums/showthread.php?s=22e0d413af54ed9fc95b7ba14b10bc31&threadid=40666 ) thread in the slash section. It surprised me how many women are apparently threatened by Mpreg. Because apparently, it's only a woman's place to give birth, that it's "women's magic". Which I find bizarre. Yes, only women can give birth. But this is FICTION! No real life man is going to steal away your precious life-bearing ability.

Any thoughts on this?

DONE LIEK WHOA @ 03:43 pm

Finished the book. I bought it this morning about 11am. Read about 25 pages in the doctors waiting room. Really started it about 1pm, after lunch. Finished at 3:30p.

Not giving any spoilers, but it was AMAZING. J.K. Rowling, I salute you!
