Etiquette Hell
Hmmm...I wasn't exactly planning on writing anything here, but a post on Etiquette Hell made me reconsider. Doubt anybody'll actually read this, but it's something I'd like to say anyway.
So there was an FW post about Cyndi aka i-stalk-piccolo, a girl who wrote Transformers fic. I replied in the comments, saying that I was pretty surprised to see her being so vehement and wanky, because she seemed fairly levelheaded and calmed on Etiquette Hell.
The other day, Cyndi made a post in Ehell, asking for her pics to be removed, because some jackasses are apparently harassing her and stealing pics. This is part of what she wrote:
I also got attacked on XXXXXXX where someone from HERE on Ehell has posted saying how I seem so put together over here. (And it was the main reason I wanted my photos gone, because I have no idea who it was and if they're part of XXXX as well. Luckily XXXX doesn't seem to know about Ehell and I hope they don't ever find out).
Obviously talking about me.
Okay, I can understand the paranoia. And I don't blame Cyndi if she doesn't believe me, but I am not contributing in any way to this trolling. I don't even know what site she's talking about (well...I have a sneaking suspicion based on the original wank report, but that's all). I do feel bad that my comments* have given her this level of not-unwarranted paranoia, and I hope that whoever is constantly harassing her stops, and soon.
* Honestly, I think my comments were pretty mild. I wasn't saying anything like, "LOL what an ugly bitch!" (which I don't believe) or anything that would indicate that I was a troll. Just along the lines of, "Huh, she's always been so calm on Etiquette Hell. I kind of want to point and laugh at the wank but I feel bad because the autism kinda puts a different spin on things. Still, I don't think it should be used as an excuse for bad behavior, especially since she's proven herself to be capable of behaving in a proper manner on Ehell."
Edited: I went back to the original report and reread. I did make a comment about how she engages in TMI -- and I stick to that opinion...for that reason I'm glad to see that she's flocked her livejournal -- but most of my harshest words were saved for the Ehell site itself. I'm not sure if writing about this will get me banned from there; I've never trolled or made posts deliberately to stir up trouble (yep, I'm still a member in good standing!) and I don't think I've ever even talked to Cyndi on there. But the mods can sometimes go on power trips and they're sensitive to badmouthing. |
