Okay, now that I've slept and gone to work and come home.

When Barack Obama, my president-elect was confirmed, I was in my living room in Shrewsbury, MA, with two of my friends at my side and another one online via GTalk. We had Faux Finale Fabulous hot chocolate to get through the night.

And the night was over so soon! We were in bed before two in the morning! EST, even!

Work was interesting. It was a mix of joy, disbelief, and...well, bitterness. I had someone I've worked with for awhile tell me she wished CONDI had been the first black president.

CONDI.

Now I'm sorry, but Condi Rice is likely DONE as a political entity now. DONE. And that, more than anything else says the complete disconnect.

PS-THIS is what a mandate looks like:

Obama (D) - 349
McCain (R) - 162

Not this:

Bush(R) - 286
Kerry(D) - 252

And sure as hell not this:

Bush(R) - 271
Gore(D) - 266

High Holidays went well-saw folks at temple that I haven't seen in awhile, so that was nice.

For my birthday, by the way, a group of us went to Vinny T's in silly hats. I love that everyone DID.

The store closing continues. It's a little scary how empty it's gotten. But I'm getting four bookshelves from it, so that's not helping the emptying issue, but it IS helping the furniture at the apt.

Have a CueCat for my LibraryThing now, which helps load books in. So one entire bookshelf is full and scanned now, and half of another one. So now I can get more books out of the attic at my parents. Rock!

Anywho, off to bed.
Things that are pretty awesome right now:

1) The Women is on, and it's just finished the OMGCOLOR fashion show.

2) For those who haven't heard, my housemate brought home a 2-month old kitten last Friday, and she's currently batting at my fingers while I type.

3) I don't have to be at work until 1 pm tomorrow, so I get to sleep in.

4) Did I mention tinykitteh? Tiny fluffy brown-eyed kitteh? Ittybittykitteh?

5) I got to see my college Caitlyn last week. Hurrah, I hadn't seen her in AGES.

6) And I get to see more of the girls on Saturday, when we go see the glass flowers at Harvard.

7)jbjhbftyda

8) Kitteh walk on kybard! Kitteh so small she only reaches from the a key to the j key! ITTYBITTYKITTYCOMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVE.

Shear Genius!

Shear Genius! The show that makes me want to change something about my hair EVERY TIME. (The red hair from last fall? Totally the fault of a Shear Genius marathon/antsiness)

I love how excited they all are! Aw, they think they're cute.

Blindfolded, eh? That should be fun. And we have two 'rockers' already. Oshun, I hate you already. If you're so 'deep,' then why can't you say anything else?

Matthew, way to gurantee premiere nooky. 'The only thing I love more than [hairdressing] is my wife.'

Oshun, I repeat, you suck.

Kim Vo, you are just so dang cute.

I do hope they get to repair the damage before these poor hair models walk out into the world. Some of them are okay, some are just eh.

Heheh. Kim to Oshun. 'Hm.' Move on.

Dee's happy dance is adorable, I must say. And her hair isn't bad.

Daniel, how gay ARE you? Really.

Snarker Parker, awesome.

Oshun, you are totally LAST LAST LAST LAST. And the best don't finish last, they finish FIRST. That's what makes them the BEST.

I kinda like the house instead of the apartments. Everyone together, such a better bowl for drama. I also like seeing them eat in the morning. Trix, eggs, bacon....they're all different even there.

YAY, RENE. You and Tim Gunn just pull off that effortless awesomesauce.

THIS IS AN AMAZING CHALLENGE. Celebrity hair, sure. CARTOON celebrity hair, SHEAR GENIUS.

Also, interesting mix of cartoons. Jem, Wilma Flintstone, Betty Boop, Marge Simpson, Judy Jetson, and Lucy Van Pelt. Mix of the old and the new there.

I <3 the first Wilma, and groove a bit on the second. Daniel's Wilma is just AWESOME. She's Wilma-inspired, but very punky.

I like the first Marge, and the second one...oh my LORD, what was he THINKING? (I know, he was thinking pubic.) Charlie, you crazy. Matthew, I like the blue subtleness.

I like Nekisa''s Lucy. Oshun's Lucy has NO Lucy in it at all. It's nice enough, but eh. And he annoys me. He can shut his face. He says flair, and delivers boring.

Parker's got Boop, that's for sure, but I don't know how every day it iss. Dee's is FABULOUS Boop AND feasible.

Meredith. Judy Jetson is not 80s. Paulo, Judy is not....limp.

I also love that the judges are feeling the hair more this season. Pretty but crunchy-AHAHAH. Oh Daniel, you are the Kaynebow this season.

............since when is Lucy an innocent personality?

....I wouldn't have put Charlie in the top three. Middle for the risktaking, but not the TOP. Yes, not Shear Genius this week. Rock the risk.

DANIEL TOTALLY SHEAR GENIUS THIS WEEK. AWESOME. His WAS fantastic. But don't get cocky, it's the first challenge.

And see, I wouldn't have put Matthew in the bottom. His colorwork looks very good to me, even if yes, it's a little Peg Bundy. PLEASE send Oshun home right the frick now though, his hair is terrible and his attitude is worse.

Ah, good. Matthew is safe.

AHAH. GOODBYE, JERK. That's the dumbest strategy I've ever heard. 'Play it down for a couple challenges, then blow it out.' Blow it out your ASS, sir. You're the farthest from deep on the whole show.
