So, I just bought Season 3 of X-Files for 19.99. :D

Admittedly, I don't own seasons one or two, and I missed out on Buffy and Angel (which was also on sale, at Futureshop)... But still, I'm pretty happy :D The price was definitely right. I also bought Flyboys and Walk The Line, yay. It's nice having a little bit of money to spare, even if it's not tonnes.

A week and a half and I have a four day holiday. OmgIcan'twait.

Migrating flist

I'm copying this here so that more people might actually take it in at first glance, but I first found it over here, originally posted by electricandroid.

How to migrate your flist to GJ, IJ or Journalfen, in a few easy steps:

PLEASE NOTE: This only works if people have the same LJ/GJ names. However, I found about 2/3 of people on flist like that - and others have been replying to a post in which I stated the ones I could not find :)

1) Go to your userinfo. Copy all the names into a wordeditor
2) Look at the commas... aren't they pretty?
3) Run a find/replace, replacing the commas with "friend add "
4) You now have a list of "friend add friendone" "friend add friendtwo"
5) Linebreak the list, so that it is
friend add friendone
friend add friendtwo
^-- This is the bit I found the most time consuming, but it's worth it in the end, to see all the journals get added in a matter of seconds.
6) Go to the GJ/IJ/JF console at: http://www.greatestjournal.com/admin/console/ (Insert domain name in proper place...)
7) Copy your wordedited document into the console
8) Hit "execute"

A list should now appear of EVERYONE on your list - and whether GJ found them or not.

---

I tried this last night, and it worked like a charm. I also saved the file, so that I can keep trying it, if more people move over - and also if there is a new journalling site that pops up that more people decide to go to.

Personally, I'm not sure what to do, as I'm torn between fighting to change LJ and wanting to go to a site where I can find EVERYONE - and there's the problem - so for now, I'm taking advantage of Semagic's cross-posting skills.
