But a few years ago, A&F [Abercrombie & Fitch] outraged parents by selling thongs for grade school girls which had the words “eye candy” printed inside a tiny heart. (source)

Wait, ANF did something mean and offensive? Again? I seem to remember ANF getting sued in California for their hiring practices, apparently they didn't like to hire minorities. Now they are putting out shirts that in essence encourage young women to become sluts. Makes you wonder about the people running ANF these days...

I don't know about whether they've gotten sued or not, but even something like fifteen years ago, I had friends who referred to them as "Abercrombie, Fitch & Himmler" just based on their print ads and store decorations alone. Their widely-known hiring practices didn't help, I'm sure.

I'd feel bad about the Godwin's, except that the guy who came up with it was Jewish. And really really angry. And also Abercrombie & Fitch is run by racist, sexist, sexually harassing assholes.

They also put near nude photos of models on the covers of their catalog's and store windows, prompting a boycott.

I remember going into one of their stores when I was a small child and it was still an outfitter. Those days are long gone.
