| Bio: | This journal will NOT be a mirror version of my livejournal running under the same name. If you want to know something about me (the media fan and slasher), please take a look at my lj . Some of you may already know, that I'm working on my dissertation on media-fandom. I'm constantly reading articles and writing exerpts and I would love to discuss them with you, and what better place than this, where the media-fans hang out? I hope I will manage to post at least one excerpt a week and of course, I would love to see you getting involved in the discussion. Your answers, suggestions and thoughts will probably give me new insights in fandom. I'd also like to discuss some of my own theories with you and please don't refrain from telling me, if they are stupid. :-) I will probably get up a website in the future where I plan to host material --> links to essays and articles I find online, or even some of my own stuff. I don't know yet, if I'm going to write my dissertation in English, or in my mother tongue, but however I and my tutor decide, I will hopefully have it translated and online when it's finished. In this journal I will also post what I plan for my dissertation. A questionnaire, interviews, a study on media reception, etc. I might also simply rant about difficulties I come across while working on it. :-) If you like the idea behind this journal, the excerpts of fandom-related academic and fan-academic texts, the hopefully interesting discussions or simply me, please pimp it wherever you go.
