4:22PM - omg

This morning I wrote an email applying for a job. The first since I've gotten unemployed, because there were no jobs whatsoever. I just checked my email again and there was a very nice reply: I've got an interview next Wednesday! Whee!

5:30PM - My cat just had a nightmare

He was just sleeping peacefully next to me on the bed. Then suddenly he jumps up, turns around, bangs his head on the wall, turns around again and starts hissing like crazy. With all of his fur standing on end.

Now he's purring and snuggled up to me. If you don't hear from me again, he's probably killed me in my sleep.

Those of you who have smartphones, which one do you have? Which features are really a must-have? Are 2 GB per month enough for surfing livejournal, twittering and reading emails?

6:54PM - Christmas can come!

Finished everything from gift wrapping to friends' visits. Tomorrow I'll have to put up the tree and cook and that's it. *flops*

11:49AM - Vacation here I come

I'm all packed and ready to go. In a few hours I'll be on the beach. Whee! I hope we have at least decent weather, but I'm just glad that I don't have to thing about stupid work shenanigans for a week.

8:07PM - things and stuff

• Mum and I are flying to Mallorca next Friday. \o/


• I still have a job! This could change soon, depending on the outcome of a meeting this Monday, but whatever.


• It's raining! Which means, I'll stay home this weekend and read and watch tv and generally be as lazy as possible!

9:13PM - PSA

I'll be away on a business convention for the next three days. Have to get up at 5 tomorrow and hopefully drive in the right direction. *g*

8:31PM - things

Thing 1 - Mum and I went to the zoo for the first time this year. The best part for me there is always the farm. Petted the sheep, pigs and a cow that closed her eyes and started drooling because of my mad petting skillz. :D

Thing 2 - I started knitting again last weekend. Finished the fingerless gloves last weekend and the cap today. Need to find my camera and post pics.

Thing 3 - I really, really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

6:28PM - my brain is wierd

A few days ago I dreamed I had to marry Jensen Ackles, but I didn't want to. I remember saying over and over again that I didn't even know him so why should I marry him. I woke up just before I had to say 'I do'. In front of Teal'c the priest asking me if wanted 'Jensenackles' as my husband. LOL

But tonight was awesome! I dreamed I was Elisabeth Bennet and Aidan Turner was my Mr Darcy. I woke up (after finishing the whole Pride and Prejudice plot), because I had the biggest smile on my face. :D

I'm looking forward to finding out who I'm marrying tonight. *g*

7:21PM - OMG so much free time!

All I need to do is drive to the cemetery tomorrow, clean the house, cook and put up the tree. I've never finished my Xmas preparations this early.

I have no idea what to do with myself for the next two days. LOL

7:36PM - Freeeeeeeeedom

As of today I'm officially on vacation for 11 days! \o/ (then I'll have to work for two, am off for seven, then work one day and have the next three off) Holidays! Whee!!! So much time to be lazy and read fic and watch tv and do nothing!

Also, this week I got lovely cards in the mail from incasink and kitty_poker1! Thank you so much, darlings! They're sitting on the piano and make me smile every time I come into the living room.

Last weekend we did all the baking and I finished my gift shopping. Just need to get the tree tomorrow, decide what to cook and do the rest of the grocery shopping next week. I feel so accomplished.

It's gotten cold this week, but didn't snow very much. Hope we get more snow next week. If I want to stuff myself with cookies I need exercise in the form of shoveling lots of snow. *g*

7:44PM - Snow!

It was snowing this morning! In the middle of fucking October! Last week we had 28 C and now this. I want a proper autumn for once. Not four days and then straight off to winter.

Well, at least I've got the cat on the bed with me to keep me warm. :D

10:10PM - list of \o/

It feels like all I do here is whining. So instead of all the 'woe is me' posts that I could make, I'll post a list of happy making stuff:

• my car has winter tires


• I bought the first Xmas presents for my mum


• Merlin! Isn't it awesome? I watched the newest ep this morning in bed, with a cup of coffee and a kitty curled up beside me :D


• Glee! I've only seen the first two eps, but Singing! Dancing! I love it!


• Books! I've read 50 books so far this year. First time I managed that. The year isn't over yet and I'll at least finish three more.


• Two weeks until the next vacation!

5:37PM - I can haz firewall

Success! After I don't even know how many failed attempts at downloading and installing a firewall that actually works. Whee! I can't say that I did anything different this time, but for whatever reason it's working now. Hopefully the next update won't cause the same problem again. Also, WTF Comodo and Zone Alarm? Why don't you like Firefox?

Also, the VCR killed the tape with the Oscars on it. I had to watch a stupid and much shorter re-run. Grr.

I had the afternoon off because of Carnival Tuesday. I spent it fighting with the VCR and the laptop. I didn't do anything fun, because all my friends here are lame. It seems I'm grumpy this week.
