I need to vent, and I need someone to vent with me. Many of my friends on livejouranl know of beeftony. Well, he's been trying to archive some of his fic at ToU. It hasn't been going smoothly because we have rules about spelling, grammar, and characterization.

I have reached my final straw. This is the last e-mail correspondences we had with each other. Yes, I go too far, but I so wanted to go much further.

I may post more of his e-mails if he sends them, but I refuse to reply anymore. I've said everything I want to say, and he's learned nothing.

Before you try and submit a story, please read the freaking submission rules. If you do that, then you won't have to e-mail me asking why the hell your stories aren't validated.

Also, having a trial period where you're stories aren't automatically validated is not some strange new concept I came up with.

Also, you're stories were kicked back because you need a beta and you kept spelling the character's name wrong. Gr!

How difficult is it to read the rules, or the update page, or even the freaking community and see that not only are the nominations closed, but your nomination was against the rules.

Apparently, you either by-passed the nominate page or didn't bother to read why there wasn't a form up!

I don't really care that you believe a fic would fit better in a different category. The author approved it and made no mention that she felt it would be better in that other category. If she does, I'll probably move it. However, that doesn't excuse you from follow the rules and not nominating a fic in a section that it's already nominated in.

You're lucky I didn't disqualify the nomination. However, I happen to love the fic.

Okay, the community says that you have to be over 18 with either your date of birth or a statement of age in your profile. Now, you only have your month and day listed, but you have a statement of age in your profile. Good.

However, you have to scroll past a huge sparkly welcome banner [the damn thing ACTUALLY SPARKLES?!?], some blah blah bs about you, your favorite character and how you can be moody, and then a large friends only banner with a friends only statement under it. Then, and only then do you reach your age statement that's in a paragraph about how your journal may contain adult content.

Let's not even get into how you're trying to join a community for rare pairs, your profile stress you ship a certain pairing, and the pairing you ship? Not a rare pair. You don't even mention any rare pairs that I could see.

I kinda wanna smack you with a trout right about now.

Reality Check: Just because I don't find a character interesting enough to write about or talk about, doesn't mean I'm racist, sexist, anti-semitic, or any other hateful term you can come up with.

First day of nominations, and already someone can't read the rules. Is there a record for something like this, or did I just break it?

Okay, there's a reason that the copy/paste form is set up so that you use one form per story. It's because I want you to use one form per story. You can put multiple nominations in one e-mail, but they have to be multiple forms!

What I don't want is for you to use one form, and just link to the journal/author profile and write the title of the fic you want to nominate in each section.

I refuse to decode that. You'll just have to re-enter the nomination.

What language do you speak that translates "I'll be sending out an e-mail Monday to make sure that we didn't miss any authors that have accepted, or want to accept nominations" to "Please forward this to the person you nominated ASAP and fuck up my organization system"?

Okay, when you fill out a nomination form, there's a reason I have a field for the freaking author's e-mail. It's not just because it looks pretty! I need to get in contact with these people, and I'm not going to up the review number of a badly written, unbeta'd piece of shit fic to do it!

Also, when you use the copy/past send in form, don't reorganize it. I know you always wanted to do an awards site for this fandom, but couldn't get it together, but that doesn't mean you need to waste 30 minutes of my time because you sent in 15 nominations in one e-mail and re-ordered them all!

I know I asked for some help getting the damn archive together. That doesn't mean you can go demanding admin access because you don't think the person putting together the pairings list is moving fast enough, or putting in all the pairings you want. Also, just because you haven't heard of the character, doesn't mean they aren't in the damn book.
