13 days late. *is sheepish*

Here's my entry to this year's the_eros_affair:

This is not exactly what I had in mind when I first signed up. I planned to do a comic (the sequeal to Once Burned, to be exact), but regrettably time did not permit me to do anything exotic. Work drains me through the week, and I've been busy exploring Tokyo during the weekends. Too many fun things are happening around the town. No wonder everybody wants to live here, despite the sky-rocketed rent and the horrible traffic.

As for hd_holidays art, I suppose I could hide in Starbucks during my lunch hour everyday and work on it. Will see how much I can accomplish.

Fic rec, and fanart for the fic

I still haven't posted my reversathon art. It will be done soon, but let me rec you my gift fic first - I've been wanting to rec it for ages. It hits all my kinks (I guess many of you know what my kinks are), and was written by one of the talented authors I most admired - no, let me confess; I signed up for reversathon because she signed up, and I had prayed to god that I could get my request in her hands. Thanks to the wonderful mods of the comm, my dream has come true.

Okay, so here's the rec:

Nothing Scarlet or Grey, by mentha [Part 1 | Part 2]
Rating: NC-17
Warning: Very dark themes and graphic (fully consensual) sex
Word Count: ~13,800
Summary: Harry clings to what he can.

Don't want to spoil, so I'm just going to say that this story deeply moved me.

And because I love the fic so much ~~and that I start my new job two days later and I'm nervous like hell~~, I ~~procrastinated~~ did two sketchy sketches for the fic. I wanted to do something more elaborated, but I'm not in the right mindset now. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

"What am I to do with you?" he said to Draco's corpse. "There will have to be a burial, I suppose. Shall I bury you in scarlet, or would you prefer your old school robes?"

There was the tapping of a wand against the front door. Harry jumped.

"This won't do," he said. Thinking quickly, he levitated Draco's corpse up the stairs and to the master bedroom. He tucked Draco in under the covers and gently brushed away a few soft strands of blond hair before kissing his cooling forehead. Slowly, he went back down to answer the door, hoping against all probability that whoever it was had gotten tired and had gone away.

I have been away from lj for quite a while. School has been busy and I have been lazy. I still have 3 classes of journals to mark, but I feel obligated to write something down to tell myself and others that I still exist.

... has make the road impossible to drive. So I skipped school today.
I tried. The tires were yielding whenever I turned the wheel. Just trying to control the vehicle drained my cerebral fluid. And I'm too lazy to hop onto the bus. I wonder why there's no announcement for the school closure.
They say it's gonna rain tonight, and the ice on the road will turn to slush. Whether it's a good thing or not I don't know.
Some good things happened though: I've read couple of very good fanfics, here, here and here. I shall post the links to the site once I've got a good number of them.

Gary Oldman

Watched Dracula and Immortal Beloved, both starring Gary Oldman.
I like Immortal Beloved more, for it featured my childhood favourite Beethoven. Oldman looked awesome in Dracula, though. He was gorgeous in his gothic Elizabethan costume.
My sudden interest in Oldman was sparked by this fansite. I don't think he would be too interesting until I read that he's an alcoholic, that he's married and divorced couple of times, and of course, his casting as Sirius Black (even though the photos of PoA was a bit disappointing). What make him attractive to me are his drinking problem and screwed love life, just like the personality flaws of the character Sirius in the Harry Potter series.
I hope that the PoA movie this coming June will not be as disappointing as CoS.
