| Goddamn it, I knew I should have banned him. |

"Him" being millennium_king, who's made several trollish comments about race and gender on my IJ, and now is in an argument about the same issues on a post months old over there. It's the usual stupid "White privilege doesn't exist, you're the one being racist and sexist by talking about race and gender issues" shit.

I predict that his next move will be "Limyaael banned me because she's prejudiced against white dudes", but fortunately you'll never have to see it.
Oh, most likely. Or, knowing him, he might come back as an anonymous user- I'll just delete his comments- or another account- which I'll ban. It costs me a lot less effort to do either than it does him to type out the comments. Eventually, he'll see that.

I'll just delete his comments
OMG, you're against free speech! Limyaael, why do you hate America? Every time you delete a comment, an eagle cries.
The linked comments illustrate one of the weird things about this subspecies of troll - he seems to think that he's contributing something helpful by encouraging everyone to be colorblind like him, but his "UR DOIN IT RONG" tone also makes it clear that he doesn't expect anyone to listen to him. I think some of them show up just so that they can play martyr.
Good! Maybe if the eagles start crying, they'll miss the moments when the ospreys catch fish, and they'll have to go catch their own damn food. (I tell you, you just can't have romantic conceptions about bald eagles any more after you read a few bird books).
I'd never noticed that contrast before. Maybe because I thought the tone was more one of lofty condescension: "I am taking my time to talk to you about my wonderful conclusions you've never thought of before, but of course you won't listen, because you're stupid like that."

Oh hell, do people still pull the whole "I can't be racist, I'm colorblind!" thing? You think Colbert illustrating how inherently silly it is would have sank that argument ages ago.
That's exactly what he did. Then he e-mailed me and commented on another journal of mine claiming that I banned him because he criticized my writing.
It doesn't take much time to ban him and delete his comments, really.
I don't understand these people. I mean, it's not like I got to MRA sites and argue there. Who has the time?
My time is much better spent being metaphorical, after all.
He claimed at one point he'd been "impressed" by my rants, then "disappointed" when I started talking about race and gender in more depth. This apparently gives him the right to be an asshole.
My time is much better spent being metaphorical, after all.
Isn't everyone's? But I don't know that we can all be as deeply metaphorical as Starblade. That takes talent.
