| Happy Birthday T! |

While it's normal to use your birthday as a time to search your soul and examine your life, remember to factor this into your reflections - you are an uncommon woman, someone I can respect and admire, a friend and a care-giver. I wish you all the happiness you deserve. |

I just got off the phone with Tangles. She and her family are all well and doing fine - dry, safe and warm. But the electrical power in her area keeps going on and off. She doesn't want to risk turning on the computer until the power stabilizes. She asked me to pass this along and let you all know she'll be back on shortly. |

| I'm Sorry |
[Jan. 28th, 2006|09:57 am] |
I want to apologize to all my friends and tagging partners for my absence this past week. It's been brutal. I've been beyond exhausted and every time I try to sign on I end up falling asleep at my desk. I scheduled a doctor's appointment for a complete physical and blood work on 2/11 so we can get to the bottom of my sleep difficulties. Meanwhile, thank you for your patience.
I have a few errands to run today, but I'll be on-line tonight and available to chat, tag or meta. |

Thank you all for your wonderful Birthday wishes. I love all of you for caring and for thinking of me. It's so sweet of you that it makes me feel a little guilty to have to tell you this but.... you were a tad off. My Birthday is today.
So thank you all for being so eager to wish me a Happy Birthday, that you jumped in a day early to do it! |

My apologies to T, Lyn, Tangles and Tangles' lovely family. I'm sorry I missed seeing all of you this evening, but I got in late last night, didn't sleep well and I'm way to tired to trust myself behind the wheel.
On the plus side - I finished all my Christmas shopping. In one day. One-line. Using only two websites. I totally rule the Yule. |

I'm thankful for the good friends I've been fortunate enough to make here. I'm thankful that I can enjoy the company of other women who I know will never be catty or gossipy and will never throw me over because some guy called. I'm thankful for smart, literate companions with a sense humor.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! |

The most recent post from the_rock really touched me. It was a very sweet, real insight into mortality. |

Is it just me or does The Val Kilmer pup's house look like a place where A LOT of peyote has been consumed? Just an observation. |

Okay ladies, Aby is going to be in the NYC area soon so it's time to finalize plans.
Among those expressing an opinion, Saturday brunch seems to work out best.
The Jekyll and Hyde Cafe and the Yaffe Cafe were both mentioned.
Jekyll and Hyde is more expensive and I've heard mixed reviews of the food. However, it's supposed to be great fun and entertainment. Yaffe Cafe is cheaper and got better food reviews but no show with your meal.
Also, Jekyll and Hyde has a website and Yaffe doesn't.
So please comment here...
Is Saturday brunch good for you?
What time shall we meet?
Where shall we eat?

Aby is going to be in NYC at the end of the month and I'm appointing myself social director. (Because if I don't do it, T will get stuck with the job and she's busy enough.)
I know she'd like to meet as many of us as possible so I was thinking we'd all get together somewhere and do something. Is that vague enough for you?
If you live in the NYC area or can make it down the weekend of the 29th/30th and would like to do this thing please comment here.
Which is better for you - Saturday or Sunday?
Would you like to all meet at a restaurant or do you have a more interesting suggestion?
Brunch, lunch or dinner?
Any suggestions as to where?
Anything I'm missing? |
