I hope to one day possess the ability to lie with a straight face... at the very least, to my mom about my Visa bill, or to my boss about my super seekrit stash of super sticky post-its. I also hope to lose my spectacular talent for blurting out dangerously honest things, especially when speeding tickets are involved. I love the sound of squeaky toys in the morning. I find it both adorable and disgusting when the puppies leave tiny pawprints in my mashed potatos. I have a terrible taco fetish that will doubtlessly one day be the end of me. The little conscience-type voices in my head primarily address me in only the most self-important tones of Received Pronunciation, which has, by all accounts, caused me to become a rather pretentious wanker. I am constantly alarmed by the fact that a political map of the world looks so different today than it did when I went to high school. This often leads to the near-irresistible temptation to secede from the US and form my own sovereign nation, which I shall call Ponystan. Or possibly the People's Republic of Pie. My life turned seriously bizarre somewhere in between my (lamentable but ultimately predictable) failure to get into MIT, and my (drunkenly random) decision to move to Spain and work in the largest nightclub on earth. I am almost always dangerously addicted to anything recommended by my weirdo cartographer friend John, including but not limited to KoL, Morning Musume, and veggie burritos. I have developed the new and unseemly habit of taking home computer parts I find on the street/in the trash, so as to construct my own Death Star-esque PC of awesomeness. (This is entirely the fault of my friend Jim, who is the Yoda of my geekitude. Srsly.) I have reached a disturbing point in my life wherein I am more excited by 2TB external hard drives than I am by new Gucci shoes. I enjoy coercing the few heterosexual men in my life into drunkenly playing "Pretty Pretty Princess" with me. I am incapable of coherent thought when in the presence of a fat little wuffly puppy. (Or kitty.) I can read for 24 hours straight and not really notice time passing. Accordingly, I am terrified by people who do not understand the concept of reading a book for pleasure and not for homework. Sadly, these people seem to be the future of America. I am dorky enough to plan vacations around celestial phenomena. I make weird little films starring tater tots, and then mercilessly devour my tiny, delicious actors. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. For now, I am possibly the least qualified sysadmin in all the land. Sometimes I live in the US. Sometimes I live in Ibiza. Eventually, I will live in Goa. Dirty hippie, you say?
