More Icon-y memage

From puipui:

Ani-Sacrifice

The dialogue is paraphrased from a scene in Angel season 5 when he has taken over as CEO of the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart with the intention of using its power for good. He attempts to use his phone to get a simple cup of coffee:

He presses a button on his phone.
Angel (to phone): Um...can I get a cup of coffee or something?
Automated Voice: You have reached ritual sacrifice. For goats, press one, or say "goats."

The screencaps with the goats are taken from a scene in season 2 when Angel finds himself in a room (in a building owned by W&H) full of goats that are to be sacrificed.

I put the two together first of all because I just find it funny and secondly because I like that kind of subtle continuity.

WooHoo!

I find the whole idea of the wolf leap-frogging over the browsing sheep just very, very funny. And rather exuberant.

MuppetHenson1

Jim the Banjo Player with The Country Trio was the one muppet where Henson was himself. I knew I wanted a muppet icon, and I really wanted this one. And then there was the Muppets s1 dvd and I screencapped him! Yayayayayayay! [/kermit]

Here's the original screencap. Feel free to use!

Ani-Alerbra

This one came verbatim -- with a few inserted illustrations fom me -- from a post on Fundies Say The Darndest Things in which Dorfman proves God through algebra alerbra. It was just too good to ignore.

Guiness

I love old ads and found this one day when I was seraching for vintages ads. Who can resist a seal balancing bottle and glass with such glee!

BlackCat-TankCorps

Again with the vintage ads, this one is from a 1917 WWI poster advertising the tank corps and featuring a very cool leaping black kitty.

ExistentialEnnui

Of course, now I can't recall what the date was, but I noticed someone on my f'list wishing people a happy Existential Ennui Awareness Day and immediately thought there should be an icon. And who better to represent the concept than Greta "I want to be alone" Garbo! And thus the icon was born.
