I found a bunch of old Wizard magazines in storage.
As God is my witness, I don't know what I am going to do with them. |

| Buffy |

The pre-season 8 Buffy comics are mostly forgettable garbage. But they do sometimes gets things right that I wish the canon had touched on. In one issue, set shortly after Buffy's mom has passed, a magical spell manifests about twenty vampires all at once. Buffy just tears them up, managing to stake most of them. Granted, she had a little assistance but she was in full-on slay mode, sometime rarely seen in actual canon. It's as if Whedon sometimes forgets Buffy has <I>super</I>-powers. |

Max Payne 1 and 2 are both messed up games. Creepy and nightmarish. I like it. |

| Revenge Of The Sith |
[Nov. 26th, 2008|03:41 am] |
I finally managed to watch most of 'Revenge Of The Sith' all the way through. It was pretty god awful, in that it had so much potential and just wasted most of it. It was like one was given legal authority to pan for gold in a gold rich area and all you were allowed for your team were three angry children, a well-trained dog, a grumpy camel and a half-blind old man with one arm.
There was much to be had and you weren't going to get much of it.
Except for a few bits. I liked how;
- Much of regular society was unaware for the climatic battles. Anakin and Obi-Wan did pass those two workers were were given them 'WTH' looks.
- The final fate of the two annoying Trade Federation goobers from 'Phantom Menace'.
- Jar-Jar's brief appereance did not involve him doing anything stupid.
- The non-Jedi human, Bail, got to be awesome.
- Obi-Wan learns more about Qui-Gon. I did not expect that.
- Everything in general just -looked- awesome. It just failed to be photographed awesomely, like Cirque De Soleil being recorded on a Fisher Price color-camcorder. |

| Female Doctor Who |
[Nov. 18th, 2008|01:00 pm] |
In the first Perfect Dark novel (there are two) the Big Geek of the Carrinton Institute goes off on a tangent of how a female actor landed the role of Doctor Who in 2016.
The internets must have explodiated.
Which makes it all the more delish, re: Doctor Who period, is that in the Perfect Dark continuity, evil companies have underhandedly taken over the entire Earth by 2016.
So either Doctor Who is horrible propoganda or actually the voice of revolt.
Fictionally. |

At least the second Ninja Turtles movie had an in-plot reason for it's cheesetacular theme-song. Plot-wise, it was improvised by Vanilla Ice [1] in order to fool club-goers into thinking the ninja/monster fight was a show, so they wouldn't panic and stampede.
[1] I feel cheesy just writing that. |

Rose is awesome but putting her next to Donna is like putting a Big Mac next to a chef-cooked steak. |

| Fandom and Not Fandom |
[Jun. 12th, 2008|06:31 am] |
Fandom recommendation: Boneyard, a small independent color comic book about an average Joe who inherits ownership of a graveyard filled with nice monsters, surrouned by horrible, awful townspeople. So much WIN with this series, including the normal bodily porportions of the female love interest. Of course, she's not exactly human but she looks it.
Not Fandom Rambling: Was at ATM with Maternal Unit in small, cramped bank parking lot area. Dude walks past us, turns the corner...and there really was -no- where else to go but the wrong way down the DO NOT ENTER bank drive thru lanes. WTF. |

| My dreams are weird |
[Jun. 9th, 2008|06:32 am] |
I had a dream I was drafted into a small volunteer police force where we all had super magic staffs like from 'The Forbidden Kingdom'. I was a bit pissed at being drafted but I did like gaining the super-monkey-ninja powers inherent in each staff.
Then we were all fired because of budget cuts. Sigh. Stupid brane. |

Because none of the rules (that I should have read beforehand) said that altering the tags of -my- entry was acceptable/standard/probable, that's why. I goofed, I could deal. Go look me up in alt.religion.kibology. Changing my tags is just fucked up. Yes, I said a swear.
If you don't know what I am talking about, oh well. |

Saturday morning; Local Fox News affilliate full of gibberish and confusing inanity. Scary. It was as if the teleprompter authors were all drunk as hell. |
