	2007.08.05  15.55 Random, thy name is CJ Has anyone else ever gotten caught up in watching really old Popeye cartoons and wondering this - Just why in all hells do Bluto and Popeye both go so crazy and get their fight on over Olive? She's anorexic in the extreme, she's so severely lacking in boobs that the best she could hope for witha boob job would be flat chested, and her legs are so long and scrawny they seem like they'd break if she tried to stand up. Is it only because I'm so fabulously gay that I don't see the appeal in this? Oh look, Popeye and Bluto are dancing with each other!! Maybe we get our slashiness from our grandparents? I be in need of bleach for my brain, please to be telling me I did not just imply Popeye/Bluto slash Mood: sleepy Music: Popeye

	2007.08.05  01.41 Just something that I would like to point out... ( Me, on the current LJ wank ) And, back to me: There was this thing that happened today. I am still woefully unsure if it is a good thing or a bad thing. Let me explain. Back when I first worked at Books-A-Million, henceforth to be known as the 10th circle of hell, there was this woman that worked at the shoe store next door and came in several times a day to get coffee. We used to talk a lot, as one is known to do with regular customers, and then, I was transferred to a different store location. This was about a year and a half ago. I haven't seen her since. Even though I've been back at my home store for several months, she'd moved on to work somewhere else as well. Today, she came in to get coffee and I just happened to be working the cafe while another employee was at lunch. She looked at me and said "CJ, is that you?" To which I responded, "In the flesh, dahling, and loving it." Lady: "I barely recognized you. Did you get botox?" Me: *blinks repeatedly* "Not that I know of?" Lady: "Well, your face is thinner and tighter and shinier." Me: *wishes desperately for a compact* "Um...I did lose a little weight and I shaved." We went on to make idle conversation. Her about this neat sounding haunted house she wants to open up for Halloween and me about books and stuff, but that stuck with me. Having a thinner face, I like. But would you consider it a good thing for your face to be tighter and shinier? * I find it much better to read the fics where they start out as kids, have a friendship grow, and then have it develop into something more later. Currently, I am reading a massive crack AU rewrite of the entire series and, while they are friends and such as youngsters, they don't start getting into the heavy petting until around 17 or so. And, since 17 is above the legal age in my area, I am considering myself to be safe in doing so.
