What happens when you combine a meglomaniacal musical diva looking to score some free publicity, a homeless man used as a prop, and a Livejournal community dedicated to dirty celebrity gossip that also, strangely enough, seems full of homeless advocates and those who think that the homeless (and I quote) "smell like piss, yell at people and sometimes follow and try to start shiet" A wank this strange, apparently! Seriously, it's the only one of its kind that I've ever personally witnessed. It's like the Mad Libs of wank-- it must be seen to be experienced. It all begins with one poor sap opining that "homeless people freak the shiet out of me...especially at night. propz to [Mariah Carey] going that close to him" and just explodes after that. | 7:56 pm | Underwater Wank! Duex! Apparently, Godawful Fanfiction is at it again, with their poodles o' war going head to head with fangirls over Maya's popular fic Underwater Light. Watch Draco-bashing, Slythering-thrashing, general scorn at the concept of some characters having more than one dimension to them, absolute shock over the fact that some people write slash and even manage to pair (OMG!) enemies together, and quite a bit of whining about what Out of Character and God Awful really mean. It all begins here and doesn't end for a while! Passive-agressive bitchery has never been more fun! (Incidentally, though I've never read Maya's popular Underwater Light, I'm a scarily huge fan of her excellent 'fic Flame and Shadow. Because even the losers get lucky sometimes.) | 4:42 am | Wanking on Forgive me father, for I have wanked. And on the oldest topic possible... RP fiction, and how it may or may not violate the tender souls of the celebrities it depicts in various sexual antics. Oddly enough, I was arguing that it didn't hurt these celebrities in any appreciable way-- though almost all of the rest of the site seems to disagree. And most perilously, I was doing it on Fametracker-- Glark's domain, where she holds iron rule, and has already given me a 20% warning for persistently arguing my cause. ::cries:: The whole sordid saga starts in the middle of this page: http://forums.fametracker.com/index.p I, Mariagoner, wrote: There is one faction of LOTR RPS fans that may be even more disturbing than the tin-hat slashers... and that would be the people who love woodcest, and who enjoy reading and writing stories about Elijah Wood's intimate relationship with his real life sister, Hannah. Positing an incestuous relationship between a movie star and his semi-public sister... now that is taking creepy to a whole new level. ...And the worst thing is, I kinda enjoy the fics too, if only because it is so damn hard to find het fics in the LOTR RPS genre. And some of the fics are really well written. And I always try to think they're actually writing about some other Hannah... not Hannah as in the blood-and-flesh relation of Elijah Wood. But... seriously, I don't know what's wrong with me either. |
